Walking Tour
Feb 2020
We were the only ones on this "small group" walking tour. When we booked it - the description said it was a 3hr tour. Our tour ended up being just over 4.5 hours long and would have been longer had we not asked for a short cut back to our hotel.
Our guide was VERY knowledgeable. He showed us parts of Sydney we might not otherwise have seen. It was just too long. No breaks. No food. It was a long day that didn't need to be that long.

Thanks for the review Jill, albeit a 3 star one. I'm really not sure what the guide was doing to take that long on your city tour. I understand you can have too much of a good thing and i feel the guide might have been overexcited to show you the city and not have 'read the crowd'. Tour guiding is as much about timing and providing the right tour for the right audience as it is about being knowledgable. Based on your review, the guide has got the balance wrong and provided a less than excellent experience. I will have a word to the guide and i hope we have a chance to improve the next time you are in Sydney. Regards, Gregg

Rachel, our tour guide did a superb job telling us about all of the history of the Sydney attractions. This was my wife and my first visit to Sydney. We learned so much during the 3 hour tour. This would be a must tour if you visit Sydney.

Rachel was very friendly and knowledgeable.

We arranged via Viator the small group walking tour and the other tour members backed out so it was just my wife and I. Gary was able to really tailor the tour to our specific needs and the three hours went very quickly. He is exceedingly knowledgeable and full of great stories and comments. We covered about 5 miles in the three hours stopping frequently. The day was forecast for rain, but turned out to be sunny and cloudless, so for us an added bonus. A really nice way to see some of Sydney. Gary made it even better and so all in all a good choice.

Nice, informative orientation walk
Apr 2018 • Couples
The tour guide was very friendly and had a passion for history, which was totally fine with us. It was a little stressful in the beginning as the tour guide was late. We were constantly looking around for someone in red and was worried that we were in the wrong place or if the tour had gotten scheduled properly. We were going to what looked like groups of people and asking them if they were with the tour.

Great tour in a fantastic seting
Nov 2013 • Friends
This was an organised walking pub tour through The Rocks. We were a small group of 6, on a weekend away in Sydney. Greg met us our allocated time and kept in touch by text beforehand to change the meeting place as it was a busy, hot day in The Rocks due to the weekend markets. I have lived in Sydney a number of years ago so it was a refreshing change to see a different side of The Rocks, showcasing the history of the area and all the different landmarks and pubs. Greg was very knowledgable and went at a steady pace. The tour only goes into three pubs but we went and visited a couple after the tour that we had been shown on the way. Greg was also a great help in giving us lots of 'local' info on other pubs and restaurants in the city to visit for the rest of our stay.

This walking tour of the city and harbour was brilliant! Our guide (Greg?) was cool, informative, very funny and a nice guy! We were lucky that the sun was belting down and as well as a great descriptive history and local knowledge of the tour, our small group were advised of some great places to eat and drink on the cheap!!!

I highly recommend the tour, which is free, but we all tipped, which is advisable!

I'm off to Melbourne soon and intend on taking the peek tours, com,au tour there - if it's half as good, I'll be very happy!

Thanks to our guide and to all the travellers that joined us!

Great afternoon out in wonderful Sydney!!!
