Overview

Kealakekua Bay, home to the Captain Cook Monument, is located on the coast of Kona and only accessible by boat or hiking. With this tour, take a relaxing lunch or dinner cruise to the hard-to-reach spot, and enjoy the included Hawaiian-style buffet, cocktail, and live entertainment.

What to Expect

Your cruise begins at the Kailua Pier where you board the boat for a 12-mile journey down the Kona coastline. Sit back and relax as a local historian shares stories about the landmarks you pass on the way to the Captain Cook Monument.

Upon arrival, enjoy a cocktail from the fully stocked bar and an island-style buffet. A typical buffet includes fresh fruit, assorted cheeses, salads and local breads for appetizers. For entrees enjoy kalua pork and cabbage, braised beef brisket, BBQ chicken, or veggie rice pilaf. Make sure to save room for dessert and Kona coffee. Additional cocktails are available for purchase.

Keep an eye out for dolphins, turtles, manta rays, and seasonal humpback whales. Take in the sites of Ahu'ena Heiau, Keauhou Holua Slide, and Kuamo’o Battlefield as you sail back to the pier.

Perfect Ending to the Day

Took office on a sunset cruise and they were very happy we did. Crew very professional and courteous. One member expected sea wouldn’t agree and staff was very helpful. Boat, historical narratives, food and drinks were great. Two had just arrived from the east coast...More

Wonderful dinner cruise

I signed up at the last minute. we had a wonderful narrated cruise down to the Captain Cook monument. There was a guide and a ukulele player. food was good and Briana, the bartender, mixed a mean mai tai. Well worth it!

What a perfect experience! Fast and beautiful boat-Kanoa II, is a beauty. Very comfortable cruise down and back. A very efficient operation, fantastic crew, especially Michael, Joe & Bartender Briana! Try the Breezy Breeze cocktail, delicious and refreshing too!

A 3 Hour Tour, a 3 Hour Tour...(now you have the song in your head)

Sorry, couldn't resist. This was a fabulous "3 hour tour", and we didn't end up on Gilligan's Island. We saw a manta ray, lots of flying fish, and dolphins! The narrator was informative, the singer entertaining, and the crew very accommodating (they offered to carry...More

I’ve always been a huge fan of Old A’s (old airport) which is by the baseball fields near the public pool. It has a nice long sandy beach area right by the ocean and just around sunset it’s amaaaazing!
