- draver0070 contributionsGreat TourI went 10-2022. I had a wonderful experience and want to go back someday, when the political situation is suitable. My tour guide was very helpful, friendly and informed. She cared about what the group wanted to see and the time we wanted.Written 3 April 2024
- 898jeanettec0 contributionsAWESOME!!!!wonderful tour it was pouring rain so it was challenging, tour guide was very knowledgeable. I scheduled to go back in October 2024. I hope we are able to go back and country is open for tourist. Praying for all.Written 4 November 2023
- hotelwise160 contributionsPraying for PeaceSometimes the true mark of excellence becomes obvious when things don’t work the way you hoped. We were booked on two day tours from our cruise ship that had to be canceled because of the current hostilities in Israel. I really didn’t expect Leo to be in a position to process refunds given the situation but was very surprised to see the refund come through. Wishing peace and safety to Leo and all his team.Written 26 October 2023
- NoStones0 contributionsAn Amazing CompanyWe were scheduled on a Celebrity Cruise in the Mediterranean which we had to cancel because of complications from Covid and then the horror in Israel caused Celebrity to cancel the cruise. We had booked three days with Guided Tours Israel, and they were an incredibly responsive group. We have never had such a thorough and informative itinerary as Leo gave us, with regular follow ups. Hopefully in the future we will be able to visit Israel.Written 14 October 2023
- EKU10 contributionsGreat Day in the GalileeMy wife and I are both temporarily mobility impaired. We were looking for a day excursion from the cruise port at Haifa. Leo J recommended a private tour where he would minimize stairs and long stretches of walking. It was not a bank breaker and turned out to be wonderful. In seven hours we saw all the major sites in the Galilee, the breath taking country side and panoramic views of Haifa from high above the Bahai Garden. Sandy K, our tour guide, was personal, helpful and incredibly informative. Thanks Leo J for being responsive to our needs.Written 1 October 2023
- Kimberly L0 contributionsExceptional Experience! This tour company is great and I cannot compliment Ryan, our tour guide, enough! Ryan provides a vast amount of information and knowledge . He is intelligent, experienced, and funny. If you use Guided Tours Israel, which I highly recommend, ask if Ryan can lead your group. It was wonderful seeing Bethlehem and walking the streets of Jerusalem. Seeing the historic sites, smelling the many spices, and meeting wonderful people. Walking the Via Dolorosa, seeing the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, visiting the Garden of Gethsemane, and putting my prayer into a crack of the Western Wall. Priceless!! Memories of a lifetime!!Written 1 October 2023
- Christine C0 contributionsWe really enjoyed this tour. But……Good points. Excellent communication from tour operator as we had a docking issue this morning and could have missed our trip, but didn’t. The tour itself to Jerusalem was very good, and the guide Annette was excellent. We loved it. We crammed a lot in. Poor points. We had to swap guides for Bethlehem to Joseph, and although we saw what was promised on the itinerary, Joseph gave us little information, he sent us photos of the nativity church on Airdrop and told us if we have any questions he’ll answer them. I don’t know what I don’t know! We were rushed through the church of the nativity being given 5-10 mins max and then dropped off at a trinket shop for over half an hour to buy stuff I don’t need. 2 crucifixes later we were back on the coach. Checkpoints caused delays but that is what it is. Would I recommend? Yes…. but hopefully you don’t get Joseph.Written 28 September 2023
- Road273502029170 contributionsIncredible Israel Experience! We had a phenomenal time on our day tours with Guided Tours Israel. Ryan did an incredible job keeping us on schedule and making sure that we were well informed about the plan for the day. He was a wealth of knowledge and information - we enjoyed learning from him. We also greatly appreciated Guided Tours ability to customize our experience to make sure that we could make the most of our two days in Israel with shore excursions. Their communication and level of service was top knotch!Written 26 September 2023

- Freedom2645550 contributionsExcellent TourI would highly recommend this tour. We went on 2 tours while we were in Israel. Both days were amazing. Our guide was wonderful. He was so knowledgeable and made our trip fun and educational. The busses were very nice and a very small group. I would highly recommend using them for tours in Israel.Written 25 September 2023

- lisamas9250 contributionsFind another tourThis tour was awful. I did “lower my expectations” since they send you an email a few days before that you should.. but I was still very disappointed. I’d have to say the main reason was the guide. He clearly didn’t want to be there.. he just rambled along whatever little speech he had. No passion. No charisma. Oh, and no shopping, lol. We just raced through the sights, you could not hear most of his boring explanations and he was moving so fast anyway. I asked a question and he snapped back a rude answer, like it was a dumb question. I am young and had no problem keeping up but some did, but he didn’t care much. This was all day and I was already wishing it to be over on the first ride in the van because the guide. 10 hours later at the end, I was just angry. We had an older gentleman as our guide. Don’t know his name. Are you surprised ?Written 21 September 2023
- 495qingz0 contributionsExcellent experienceWe have 24 people from cruise ship. We arranged 2 private tours with Guided tours Israsel, Jerusalem and Dead Sea tour from Ashdod and Sea of Galilee from Haifa. Our meeting time was 9AM on our first day in Ashdod. However when the first group of us got to terminal at around 8, we found that our guide Gil was already waiting for us there. This was very comforting for us, because it was our first time visiting Israel and the border control from cruise ship was very confusing. The Dead Sea and Jerusalem trip was wonderful. The bus was almost new with good air conditioning. Gil was very knowledgeable and was trying to show us as much as possible. The trip was very tiring for some of us of course, and very inspiring for the rest. The second day was same. We saw Gil right after we got off the ship with no surprise. We went to a lot of places. It was wonderful. I do recommend Guided Tours Israel for their professional arrangement. If my family were to visit Israel again we would go with them again for sure.Written 10 September 2023
- Virginia C0 contributionsAmazing Day TourMy family and I were really happy with Guided tours Israel, it was amazing sightseeing scenery in this tour departing from Haifa Port, particularly in this combination of Jerusalem and Dead Sea, you can experience a very interesting scenery. The car was super nice 4x4 and comfy for the 6 of us, and Omrai (our guide) was truly fantastic, happy explaining all , walk us around very nicely , lots of patience with us ;-) , and we were right in time after all the driving. it was an absolutely amazing experience for us and we can fully recommend when visiting Israel. Thank you so much for everything.Written 4 September 2023

This was our second tour in Israel with Guided Tours Israel company. We began the day with the panoramic view over the Haifa Bay and the spectacular Baha'i Gardens. Unfortunately it was raining (a slight drizzle) so we did not get to go into the gardens as they were closed. But, there was a silver lining - there are no people in our pictures of the gardens from the top...amazing! From there we drove to Nazareth and visited the Basilica of the Annunciation. I have lost memory of the order we visited places, but we saw The Church of the Multiplication where Jesus fed the people with the loaves and fishes, the Mount of Beatitudes, the Sea of Galilee, Capernaum with the temple where Jesus preached and the ruins of the home Peter was living in when he joined Jesus, and the Jordan River where Jesus was Baptized. Our guide, Nicola was very knowledgeable about each of these sights and was able to answer any questions tour participants asked her. She also ensured we were returned to the ship a bit earlier than originally planned as there was a storm approaching and we had to miss our second day in Haifa in order to get out of the port and into the safety of the open sea.
The places we visited and content of information we were provided were both outstanding. In our opinion the guide and driver on this tour just weren't as amazing as on our day one tour with Guided Tours Israel - and that is why they got a 4 star rating from us rather than 5 stars.

We arranged a 3-day private tour with Guided Tours of Israel for 11 of us while our ship docked in Ashdod and Haifa. We used their service 11 years ago.
Our guide for all 3 days was Ryan. We all agreed that he was one of the BEST guides if not the BEST we ever had in the last 15 years of travelling around the world. Ryan was at the ports before our starting time waiting for us. He was informative, pleasant. passionate about his presentation and professional.
He would adjust his plan after we requested visits to couple of places not in the itinerary. Most importantly, he made sure that we returned to the ports safely before the cutoff time.
Leo in the office was also very informative, giving us clear instructions as to what to expect. He would reply instantly to our inquiries. The vans Leo sent us were comfortable and clean. We had a different driver each day.
Early December is a great time to visit Israel with less crowd and nice and cool temperature.
We learned so much this time from Ryan. It was overall an excellent tour.

Thanks for the fantastic tour. My wife and I travel extensively and have wanted to visit Israel for a long time and are very glad we finally made it.
We visited Galilee, Churches of the Annunciation & Beatitudes, Nazareth, Haifa, and several other sites. Sandy, our guide, did an outstanding job providing not only the facts and details for all the sites but also the historical backdrop of the events, making them relevant, bringing them to life. He also tied together the events from the Christian, Jewish and even some Muslim perspectives which helped me better understand the complexities of life in this part of the world, both historically and today.
Additionally, Sandy made the tour fun adding a wry sense of humor about what was happening during the pivotal times, up to today, when Israel and the Middle East shaped the modern world.
This tour was one of the best we have been on and will be remembered for a long time. Rosemary and I would highly recommend Guided Tours Israel and especially Sandy Kuttler as a guide. Thanks again for making this a highlight of our Middle East cruise.

We really enjoyed this tour from Haifa and went with the same tour guide and same company to Jerusalem and Bethlehem on our stop at the Ashdod port. Our guide Tomer was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and Biblical background of all the sites we visited. We had a great van and driver with only about 13 people so which allowed us to get to know one another during the tour. Tomer did a tremendous job of handling all the logistical challenges of moving from one site to the next in the limited time that we had. Guided Tours Israel is a great company and we would be delighted to return to Israel to take another tour with them.

We were on 2 full-day shore excursions (Biblical Galilee and Jerusalem and Bethlehem). From the outset, Leo was wonderful – always professional, quick to respond to emails, very organized and detail-oriented. Despite our cruise ship having to change itineraries and dates at the last minute, he quickly accommodated us.
The Holy Land has been on my bucket list for almost 40 years. Given that we were docked in Haifa for only 2 days, we wanted the most comprehensive overview possible. Guided Tours Israel successfully did that for us!
We were extremely impressed with our guide Michal. Often, I have difficulty understanding tour guides in countries for which English is not the primary language. I understood every word that Michal spoke! He was very knowledgeable and not only provided a wealth of information about history, culture, and religion, but also told personal anecdotes that made us appreciate what sites we were visiting.
We recommend Guided Tours Israel with unbounded enthusiasm!

In January 2020 we went on two day trips, from Queen Mary 2, with Israel Guided Tours. I cannot recommend Leo and Yonathan enough.
Leo got back to my email within a day with suggestions, ideas and times. The tours were really reasonably priced and we could pay on the day.
Leo sent several emails with detailed instructions.
On the day of the first tour Yonathon met us at the port and we had a fantastic day with so much information given and the most wonderful places visited. Day two was the same.

The tour was just amazing. From the first moment when I was enquiring about the tours the communication was quick and efficient. Leo was very responsive and answered all my questions. I was informed exactly what to expect and not to expect from the tour. Our ship had a delay and lucky enough they did their best to show us all the places in shorter time, although It never felt rushed.
I decided for this company based on the reviews and It was the best choice. My tour guide Ryan was just brilliant. The guy is super knowledgeable and passionated about Israel, you can tell he loves his job. I heard of so many people that was unhappy with their tours, even the ones booked with the ship (which is even more expensive). But in my case, we had nothing but great comments. I did 2 days, one Jerusalem and Bethlehem and Nazareth and Galilee the next day.
I couldn't recommend them enough !!!! It was the highlight of my trip.

This was a good tour with alright hosts. Was still difficult to find them in the port without a sign. They also needed to update how they conduct a tour. In most of the churches and sacred sights, you cannot talk out loud and other tour groups had headphones. I was also given no options for lunch but what they took us to and we had to pay. All in All the guide was great and the driver was thoughtful. Was an average experience.

Sorry you had a hard time finding us at port. We ALWAYS have a sign with our guests' FULL names on it. You must have missed it due to the high number of guests arriving at the same time. Thank you.

Guided Tours Israel provided us with three outstanding days of tours while we were in Israel. Working with this company in planning the tours was extremely easy and they have by far gone above and beyond all of our expectations. Leo promptly answered any of my questions. It is definitely one of the best companies to use in planning tours. However, the best was yet to come. Ryan, an archaeologist, who has lived in Israel for the past 23 years and was originally from Texas, was the ultimate when it come to guides. His knowledge, his sincere and caring personality, and his presentation of facts made us truly feel like family. He made the history come alive and wanted all of us to see the past and present of life in Israel. We always felt safe and comfortable. Guided Israel Tours and Ryan provided us with three days of the best of what Israel has to offer!

Our guide - Sandy - was very knowledgeable & kept us entertained with many interesting facts.. It was great to be picked up at the cruise ship. It's a long day of touring, so be tolerant of the traffic. Also, we found things to be expensive for souvenirs & quick lunches (however, they were tasty). Otherwise, a country that has lots to offer.
Important also, Leo was fantastic to work with in setting up this tour - he was very accommodating in these trying times of travelling.

Is there time to get Baptized where Jesus was Baptized, during this tour?

We were there about a half hour to 45 minutes. We did see people being baptized, but we don't have any idea how they arranged that.

We would like to take this tour the day our cruise ends in Haifa. Is the start time adjustable, we won't be off the ship until after 9am.
Written 4 March 2022
You can check with the company, but I would guess it will not be. They will be doing the tour for people on other cruise ships who have to get back before leaving and to delay the start an hour or more would make them too late getting back. However, my suggestion would be if you can find 6 other people leaving your ship who want to take this tour then you could talk to Leo about arranging that as a different tour. Worth a try.
