Overview
The Golden Circle takes in some of Iceland’s most impressive natural attractions, but the full route can take a long time to complete. On this express tour, travel in comfort by air-conditioned coach and head straight to the top sights of interest with your guide. Explore the UNESCO-listed Thingvellir National Park, visit Gullfoss waterfall, and delve into the Haukadalur geothermal area. This tour includes pickup and drop-off in central Reykjavik.
What to Expect
Take a seat aboard your air-conditioned coach in central Reykjavik and then head out of the city into the UNESCO-listed Thingvellir National Park to begin your tour. Along the way, listen as your guide sheds light on the Icelandic national parliament—the oldest in the world, founded here in the year 930.

First, visit Gullfoss waterfall—where the powerful torrents of the Hvítá River have made their mark on the rugged landscape. Here, spend time exploring at your leisure and capture the impressive scenery on camera.

Next, head onward to the Haukadalur geothermal area—widely considered among Iceland’s top natural attractions. Watch the hot springs of Geysir and Strokkur shooting hot steam and water high into the air and gain insight into the region’s geothermal activity from your guide.

When your time in Haukadalur comes to an end, return in comfort to central Reykjavik to conclude your tour.

Great locations - horrible operator - better options

Iceland is amazing and I HIGHLY recommend doing the Golden Circle tour but I would never book through Grayline again. Their vouchers show a 9:30 pickup but at 10 when we called to find out what was up we were told that the bus left...More

Thank you Ruapilot2 for your review. Very sorry about what seems to be a misunderstanding of the timing for the tour. The 09:30 tour departure has pickup from hotels starting 30 minutes prior which explains the hotel pickup shuttle being at your hotel at 09:07...More

Perfect day for quick stopover in Iceland.

We had just two full days in Iceland. We spent one getting to know Reykjavik, and the other on the Golden Circle Express Tour. It was everything we'd hoped it would be and more. The guide -- Darren -- really made the tour. He was...More

Sorry, we didn't take the tour from the port. We were picked up at the pickup point close to our hotel. Try going online - Grayline website.

The Express Golden Circle tour is only 6 hours. But the pickup and drop off time can add another 2 hours. I don't think you'll have enough time. If you self-drive, that maybe doable.

We got picked up at 12.30 and got back to the bus terminal at 7, it will depend on your pick up location and where you want to be dropped off but i think its generally about 6 hours
