      Excellent cooking and dining experience
Excellent evening! Chef Miguel tailored the menu for us and was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. It was one of the best meals we had in Lisbon. I would highly recommend cooking with Chef Miguel!

By request, chef miguel prepare a michelin star dinner. We had an amanzing gourmet experience, with wine pairing and lots of surprises. We pay a little more than the regular class but it was worthy.

Great experience dinner. Miguel entertainer us all, with lots of food and Wines. We learn a lot about portuguese culture and history. The desert was the famous pasteis de nata (a special request for my wife birthday), and we even take home a box with a dozen. Thanks chef Miguel

      Xmas team building
This year our company provide a different Xmas party. Instead of a dinner in a restaurant, we had a funny team building activity. We cook everything from zero, a multi course dinner, with lots of starters and snacks, great wine variety and even personalize aprons with the company logo.

      Best dinner experience in Lisboa
We had a wonderful experience with chef Miguel. After a few exchanges of messages he created a menu based entirely on seafood. Simple but extremely tasty preparation.

Fun, hands-on cooking class at Lisboa Food Studio using simple ingredients
This hands-on cooking class was a brilliant way to end my first trip to Portugal. We started with a custard-based dessert, followed up by tempura beans, then a delicious appetizer dish made with beef, pickled veggies, onions and finally a traditional cod dish. We chopped, stirred, sliced, and cooked all the dishes and ended up enjoying a gluten free meal in a very short time. (This was requested as one of us is gluten intolerant). It was good fun working under Chef Miguel direction, who has a background in a Michelin rated restaurant, at hotels and resorts and decided to launch his school, Libsoa Food Studio, just a few months into 2022. There was plenty of good laughs while we learned a few new techniques. The dishes were intriguing enough and are ones that I will be able to create at home – especially since the recipes will be emailed to me. A couple of lovely white Portuguese wines were also poured and enjoyed. We took a tram, 15E, stepped off was and walked to the front green/blue gate in a matter of minutes. Chef Miguel was waiting for us - thankfully as google maps has not charted this area of Belem yet. The studio is in a converted warehouse/workspace and was quite fun to enter into and walk to the studio. Class started at 6:30 PM and wrapped up at 9 PM.

Miguel is wonderful! We made everything from scratch -- the puff pastry and the filling. Even if you have no experience or are not very comfortable in the kichen, you can participate easily and learn in this class. We were divided into two groups and everyone took turns, sharing the various steps in the baking process. Miguel explained what we were doing and why, which made it much easier to understand. His kitchen had everything we needed, and once the Pasteis de Nata finished baking we all sat down at the table and enjoyed them with local Portuguese wines! Overall it was such a fun experience, I highly recommend it. Plus, the local is not in the super touristy part of Lisbon, so you get to enjoy more of the local feeling of Portugal here.

My son and I loved the baking class. It was enjoyable and informative. The whole class interacts with each other, creates the pastries from beginning to end. At the end, the best part.. we get to enjoy them, piping hot, creamy and delicious!
    Terrific instructor.

I loved this class from start to finish! I was the only one booked for the day, but Miguel was kind enough to keep my booking, so I had the class all to myself! Miguel is fantastic and made the recipe so easy to follow. I am a good cook, but I had never attempted puff pastry from scratch before so I was a little intimidated to make it. However, with the expert guidance I was able to achieve delicious puff with beautiful lamination! I would recommend this class for all skill levels - even if you aren’t experienced with baking!
This is a must-do in Lisbon :) very positive experience and I would absolutely do it again

We really enjoyed Miguel's class! It was cool to learn how the pasteis de nata are made and they were so delicious. We also learned a bit about local wines and liquors. It was a fun experience and I would recommend it to anyone who likes baking or cooking.

Miguel was an amazing baking instructor. He was very friendly and personable and waited outside the studio to help guide us and other participants to the right place! During the class, he was very clear in his instructions and also funny. He knows how to many everyone feel comfortable, no matter where they came from. We would definitely take another class with him again!

A clean, new purpose built space with everything you need to create Miguel's recipes. A family of four, we made Pasteis de Nata from scratch (puff pastry included, to the prescribed 36 layers) with Miguel providing plenty of chef's tips & tricks to help us get them spot on. A really engaging host, fabulous with our kids we cannot recommend him enough!

We had so much fun learning how to make Pastéis de Nata with Miguel. We booked the session for our friend’s Hen Do and she said it was one of her favourite things of the trip. Miguel was so interesting to chat with, was super helpful and introduced us to some lovely drinks while we waited for our pastries to cook. A really enjoyable experience.

I booked this for six family members and we were joined on the experience by another family of three. It was a really fun experience and the food was excellent. I haven't given this five stars on the basis that our family of six had the exact same ingredients and utensils to use as the family of three, which didn't seem fair as we had paid twice as much.

The only thing bad about this class is no other Pasteis de Nata tastes as good after! Miguel's studio is modern and clean and his teaching technique is superb. He gets into the little details that will be important if you try to replicate this at home. I really do have the confidence to give it a try! You are given hands-on training in a small group setting making both the pastry and the filling, and while they bake, you can sample some port, ginja, or local wine. When the pastries come out of the oven you gather around the table to enjoy. Plenty of leftovers to take home!

We did this cooking class as a family of 4-2 kids ages 8 and 11. The cooking class was a blast. Our girls loved the class and learning how to make Pastéis de Nata. I highly recommend this class.
