After a morning pickup from your accommodations, head west, straight to the historical center of Sintra, where you will have some time to explore the old streets of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Then, continue to Pena Palace, a most extravagant palace, built on a rock at an altitude of 500m, and dominating the whole coast to Lisbon. This building is a mixture of Moorish and Manueline architecture, and is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After is time for lunch, usually at a local restaurant out of tourist zone in a village between Sintra and Cabo da Roca with attractive prices. (also is possible to have a lunch somewhere else, depends what group will decide).
Next point is Cabo da Roca. Westernmost point on the continental Europe. 140m altitude, it offers a beautiful view of the wild coastline. (around 15min).
Next we passing a stunning beach, west of Cascais, Praia do Guincho. Praia do Guincho is the most scenic beach of the Lisbon coastline and the kingdom of the dunes and strong ocean wind. This is a paradise for surfers and windsurfers. depends on time we can stop for photos. Next stop is Boca do Inferno, or 'Mouth of Hell'. This breathtaking chasm located on a cliff-lined seashore close to Cascais will attract you with roaring waves crashing vigorously against the rocks.
Finally a visit (depending on time) to Cascais, is described as a postcard-perfect little beach town. Cascais was once a quiet fishing village, but after European nobility discovered the little village and its idyllic setting, the town became a favorite vacation destination, and elegant Lisbon coast resort for international visitors.
Later, return to Lisbon along the coast, passing by Estoril and admiring the beautiful coast and it’s beaches.
