We hired double kayaks for 3 hours from Futurismo in Sete Cidades. It was very easy to book and the pick up was straightforward. Friendly, helpful staff. We had a great time kayaking around the two crater lakes.

Whale watching was one of my favorite experiences on the island. We saw three sperm whales and a lot of dolphins. Having a marine biologist on board and the respectful way we approached the animals was a huge bonus.

All my life I have dreamed of seeing Whales in the wild ocean.. Our visit to the Azores was because of this and I wasn t disappointed. We booked the half day sea trip for whale and Dolphin watching... this company provides a more substantial bost too for those who feel they "need a bigger boat" What a wonderful afternoon we had, we saw two Sperm Whales and many many dolphins.. spectacular!!

We did the Zodiac Whale Watching Tour with Katerina which was lovely. We were in a 14-seat boat that could go very fast. The water was very calm so no issues with sea sickness - just a great boat ride where we saw several sperm whales and their babies, a turtle, and a school of Dolphins who swam around our boat and entertained us toward the end of the tour. Even if you don't get to see any in the water, it's a nice boat ride to see the Island from a great perspective.

What they say on the website is not what they give you We had a lot of wasting time waste money no whales and had half trip by boat and half by bus

We did the 3-hr Whale and Dolphin Watch off the North Coast, in the Zodiak boat - very very cool! Alba was our guide, she’s a marine biologist and she explained all the animals and the ocean environment. The boat is small, don’t bring a lot with you. They will give you waterproof pants and jackets, you need them if you don’t want to get wet! My husband however did not wear them and he says he was fine. Expect hard bumps and spray as a the boat rides the waves. They say they don’t guarantee that you see animals but we had a great outing, we saw a pod of sperm whales and a pod of playful dolphins. Highly recommend, absolutely a great time!

What a day, although there where a lot of people waiting, the organisation was exemplary. The tour was a Whale Watching trip in a small group 10 in our case and then back to the office for more information on what we had seen and info regarding all the species that you can encounter. The Zodiac boat was very small so was a little apprehensive but about 20 minutes in we could not believe the sights a huge pod of Atlantic spotted dolphins, more than I could count all feeding, which we encountered more than once. One of the greatest sights I have ever seen, us we spotted 3 what we think where Bryde's Whales. The Marine Biolgist and captain where both amazing with there knowledge and enthusiasm for the Marine wildlife. What a day that will be long in the memory. Could not recommend them enough.

Very knowledgeable boat crew and respectful of the marine life. We saw Atlantic spotted dolphins and 5 Sperm whales which was one of the best experiences of my life. They gave us lots of time to observe them and take photos whilst giving us information of each species. A must if visiting Azores.

Our "three hour" whale watching tour was 2 and half hours, of which less than three minutes we actually saw whales. Way too much money for the experience.

Absolutely fabulous day out! The group of about 20 was split into two separate mini-vans with separate guides - my husband and I were in the van with Marie who was absolutely amazing!! The stops were just the right length of time so we saw everything we wanted to but never got bored! The highlights for us were retrieving our restaurant’s pot of lunch from the hole it had been cooking in for 8 hours, and seeing the botanical gardens!

This review is 70/30 I will do the plus first - the boat trip and the zodiac were both very good, well organised, nice staff, good commentary, rough sea on the boat trip, i’d recommend sickness pills, the zodiac (Jessica) was better conditions, we saw whales & dolphins, superb experience, how can we continue to allow climate change to increase and put nature at such serious risk !! half day trip to thermal pools is worthwhile our guide (Eulalia) was very good the full day trip (citades) is well worth the trip, again an excellent guide (sincere apologies to her, as we have no name) very informative, cycling & kayaking really good the full day (furnas) trip was again excellent with Nuno guiding, very knowledgeable and a great guy the lunch on both full day tours was good the negative - some of the staff at check in are incredibly rude and abrupt they clearly have no software system in place, they ask for your first name….cannot find, they ask for your surname….cannot find, they ask for the time….cannot find, they tell you they have lots of tours & bookings…..they get frustrated at you as a result….so that is the customers fault ! their search criteria is rubbish, some of them are very unprofessional and rude due to their own failings, this is a big business, lots of tours daily leaving at similar times, hence lots of people arriving, it is 2024, simple software allowing search by surname / tour / time…..or all 3 ! would make the whole process more enjoyable and acceptable, instead they are clearly frustrated and seem to think it is the clients fault or the 3rd party bookers fault (where applicable) crazy as this could be easily rectified with nominal investment, some training on customer service, manners/respect and generally being polite would work wonders too - Sorry but true !

We did our final day in the Azores whale watching with this company. The company was very respectful of the animals. We had a small zodiac, it was very nice. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable.

Booking was easy online and the instructions were clear on the booking confirmation. Staff were friendly and polite. The catamaran was comfortable. We did consider the smaller rib but were actually glad we booked the catamaran, it provided better top down views of the wildlife and looked for more comfortable for the 2 1/2 tour. The tour gave lots of time around the dolphins that we saw, maybe even too much! The information given by the guide regarding the wildlife was quite basic and nothing that we didn't know from before the tour. The tour is advertised as half a day but this is a little misleading, as by the time people board the board and recieve the safety safety briefing 30 minutes is lost which leaves about 2 hrs 30 mins at sea. We would probably consider a smaller company if we were to return.
