      Book it now!
Don’t think, just book it. Our guide Daywi (I’m sure I spelled it wrong and I’m sorry) was amazing. She offered great information about the city, the food, and anything else that we wanted to know. She was personable and it felt like going with friends. We sampled a variety of things - all of which were delicious. It was worth the money. Highly recommended!!

Got to learn more about my neighborhood!
I've been living in the centrum now for several years and encountered this tour when trying to find what to do with an out-ot-town guest. It was a happy discovery. I learned much about my own neighborhood! I highly recommend this as an introduction, to the Hague, and to the Netherlands. Indeed, the tour included some tasty traditional bites and drinks, and stories about the famous, and not-so-famous past and present residents of this historic city of diplomacy and royalty.

      WONDERFUL!
This was a great way to tour the city centre and learn a little bit about The Hague, all while enjoying samples of local fare at various little spots around the area. Karensa is very lknowledgable and answered all our questions throughout the tour. Definitely a fun way to spend an afternoon in The Hague!! Thanks again, Karensa. You are a real sweetheart!!!

A wonderful way to discover the citiy!
The tour is really intersting, and the locations we visited were perfect (food + wine). The explanations about the city are lively given and full of "insider" anecdotes: we loved it! We discovered a lot of "hidden" stories about the city and hidden (very good) restaurants we wouldn't have found without the tour. We highly recommend it while visiting Den Haag!

      History, food and drink!
My wife and I, and and our 17 year old son were the only three so we had a private tour with Karensa. We had a great route seeing most of the main sights in the centrum area. There was a little history lesson between each food stop and the story about each restaurant or shop was fascinating. Every treat was significant and was an an example of “typical Dutch”. The tour was unhurried and lasted about 3 hours which never felt tiring. Despite the rain we had a great time, learned a few things and enjoyed some great tastes. Even the teenager liked it! Highly recommended. Thank you, Karensa you are an absolute delight!

      Fun afternoon out
Meeting on a beautiful sunny afternoon at Paleis Noordeinde our small group wandered the back streets of old Den Haag for 3 hrs, interspersed between the beautiful old buildings we were treated to typical Dutch treats, Kroket, Gehaktbal, saucijzenbroodje and the modern, frozen yoghurt, quality ice cream and of course coffee. Finishing off the tour with a great monks ark but sweet brew was a perfect ending. The stories along the way were interesting in explaining how Den Haag developed and became the city we see today, well worth the afternoon.

      Cool tour!
Karensa was an awesome tour guide! It was great learning about some of the history of Den Haag. I’d definitely like to spend more time in the city next time I’m in the NL. The herring was probably my favorite thing we had. Thanks for a fun tour, and hope to see you again sometime for the beer tour!

      Cancelled
I booked on line and without any explanation they cancelled. Don’t know if I will get money back. Communication would help, they may have had a reason but despite asking haven’t heard.

Very enjoyable stroll through The Hague with cool stories
I live in Den Haag but decided to check out this tour with a friend on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Our guide was very knowledgeable, I learned a lot of cool stuff about my city. We were in a small group (of 4) and this made it cosier and very relaxed. We made 6 stops and tried typical Dutch or "Haags" bites - some better than others but that's just my taste that refuses to accept herring :) . Very much recommended!!

Great food tour in Den Haag
Our guide, Gabby, was terrific. We had a group of eight people from different parts of the world and she connected well to everyone. The food stops are very interesting and good - places we would not have found on our own. They were also very accommodating of our last minute request to join the tour.

Kerensa was lively and bubbly. She catered to our dietary requirement well and made sure everybody can eat at every spot. The best part of the tour is the surprise! So let them do what they do best - planning your eating itinerary!

A very nice mix of taste, originality and great fun
I booked a tour with Bites & Stories as a team building activity. It was the best idea ever! Kerensa and Marthe are amazing hosts able to give you fun, let you discover hidden places, make you taste and drink special treats. Everybody was pleased by the concept and the stories behind each dishes. A special tour which is different from the other ones and this is why "Bites & Stories" is highly recommendable !

Our host was bubbly and enthusiastic and did her best to overcome the wet weather. The tour included a quick history of The Hague, some folklore and modern culture too. The 5 food stops were interesting but I would have liked more. Netherlands is known (in the UK at least) for its cheese and salad/greenhouse crops. We had one excellent beer at the end but maybe more insight into the variety of beers? And/or perhaps a food stop representing cultural connections such as Indonesian cuisine? But all in all an enjoyable and worthwhile 4 hours.

Having just gone on this tour in August 2021, we can say we are impressed. It's a great food tour with a fun, personal guide.

The Hague is a great place to visit, and we loved getting an inside, local take on its food, in addition to learning about Dutch culture and history from the perspective of The Hague.

We've been on many food tours, on just about all continents, and this may be our favorite. This is because it was casual enough to feel like you are out with friends, yet still structured enough to feel like you are on an organized tour. You can tell they LOVE giving food tours.

The food is delicious! I liked that the tour shares the importance and stories behind each food you try. And of course, you also learn fun, memorable facts about The Hague.

The tour ended for us in an awesome, cozy pub with a delicious traditional Dutch food and an alcoholic beverage (mocktails and soft drinks are also available!). It winds down at a perfect time in the afternoon, giving you an ideal opportunity to stay and try more drinks or move on to other activities you may have planned.

Recommend. A great thing to do in The Hague!

The stories were great and the food was amazing. We even had a run in where the food place was running behind so our guide pivoted and took us to an additional site while we waited. It was great! I highly recommend this if you've got an afternoon to wander around a learn a bit about the non-traditional tourist stops in The Hague.

Guide “Davey”?? was very nice but other than a rehearsed booklet she used that contained ancient odd tales, we didn’t learn much about the city’s history or how it has evolved into the bustling place it is. 4 food stops and a beer over 4 hours was a bit slow. We’ve been on many food tours and this one has room for improvement.

A wonderful tour with a very friendly guide. We were introduced to the city, got a little bit of history and ate some tasty bites. It was nice to hear the stories behind the places and understand a little bit more about the passion the businesses have for both their product and the city.

Davie was a wonderful guide - both knowledgeable and fun in her delivery of (hi)stories of the town. There where 5 stops where we got to try some wonderful snacks and food/ drink from around the world. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to get a sense of the historic town while enjoying some good bites and laughs along the way.

Booked the trip, received the voucher via message 24 hours in advance as promised, drove to the meeting point on time from outside, waited in the rain for half an hour after the start, nobody showed up, called the number given and found out that the tour had been cancelled and that they had apparently forgotten to notify us. Very annoying and a poor organisational achievement. A lot of valuable holiday time wasted and I'm curious to see if I'll get my money back.

This tour felt like we were being shown around town by our friend who wanted to show off her favorite sights and restaurants. The tour was cozy and casual, and included a lot of cultural information about the Dutch as well. The eateries at which we stopped were varied, but all were delicious. We ended up staying at our last stop to sample more of their local beers after the tour ended.

I’ve lived in The Hague for over 6 years and still found this tour informative! We had a great guide in Sigrid who was informative and enthusiastic.

The tour takes you through parts of The Hague which are not very touristy and of course into the busier parts of the city. I thought that the spread of bites was nice and varied. I did not leave hungry! The stories were interesting as it’s not a regular tour with tons of useless facts. This is a light hearted tour with facts and stories that you’ll remember.

I highly recommend this tour to tourists and locals alike.

We met our guides at a location very convenient to our hotel. Both ladies were very knowledgeable about The Hague and told fun, interesting stories. The speed of the tour was geared to the abilities of our group. Six food samples were included. Don’t skip the fried fish! Probably the best I’ve ever had.
