Make your own way to a central Amsterdam meeting point, about a 20-minute walk from the cruise port, where you board a vehicle destined for the Dutch countryside.
Your first stop is Zaanse Schans, where you stop at a historic shipyard and have time to snap photographs of iconic Dutch windmills.
Then, you continue to Volendam and Marken, quaint fishing villages with wooden houses and colorful harbors. Spend free time at each and then stop at a Dutch cheese farm to sample the local cheeses.
If you want to spend more time in each of the stops, upgrade to the 7-hour tour that leaves at 12pm for a more relaxed approach to sightseeing.
Your tour ends where it started.
