My husband and I spent a few days in Amsterdam, and we decided to include this tour in our itinerary. The booking process was quick and smooth, and Tony quickly reached out to me to firm up the exact time we wished to begin our tour. On the day of the tour, we easily found our tour guide, Stan, at the appropriate meeting spot near Centraal Station. We spent the next several hours crisscrossing De Wallen. Stan did a fantastic job of presenting the history of the Red Light District, as well as explaining current trends and norms regarding this aspect of Amsterdam's culture and nightlife. (Being from New Orleans, I can honestly say that we were neither shocked nor offended by anything we saw or heard in the red Light District.) Our time with Stan felt less like being "on a tour" and more like being "out for an evening with a friend". We stopped for a drink at Wynand Fockink Proeflokaal and Spirits, and then when we asked for a suggestion for a place for dinner, Stan brought us to Il Pacioccone (a lovely Italian restaurant just off the Singel. Overall we had an absolutely wonderful time on this tour. I would highly recommend it!

It was a great tour with Stan, our guide. The tour was really private, meaning you have your own guide.
The streets were very quite because of the corona measurements, but the area was still very active.
Stan had a lot of knowledge about Amsterdam and the Red Light District.
It was such a great experience!
Highly recommended!

One of the best tours we ever did! This with our guide Tony. Anybody visiting Amsterdam should visit the Red Light District and do this with Trigger Tours.
Walking here by yourself you would miss out so much information and many hidden gems.
Our guide, Tony, was amazing and really knowledgeable about the area and about Amsterdam in general. We learned about the history of the area and its prostution and about the coffeeshop culture.
Five stars for this amazing tour!

We had a wonderful experience with thistour and our guide Peter.
The area is so much different than where we come from, here in Nevada. So much history and culture behind the Red Light.
Great tour and informative guide.

My bf and I took a private tour of the Red Light District, Chinatown, and of course the coffee shop culture of Amsterdam with Tony and had a blast! Learned a lot of background history, got a personal guided tour of the RLD, and even got to partake in the coffee shop madness!!! Tony was great and very patient with us as we took as many pictures and videos as we could. Sex museum option at the end is a fun experience - for adults. Thanks ,Tony!

We were a little intimidated by the red light district and the coffee shop culture when we first arrived. Tony walked us around and got us feeling much more comfortable. We discussed the history of the city and the red light district before showing us the different clubs and even showed us how to use the sex booth. We basically went in and saw what it was like and left. Best thing is that he works with you privately with your comfort. He helped us order in a coffee shop and sat with us for a minute as well. I’d recommend this tour to anyone at any comfort left. It’s nice to begin your visit with an insider. Also it’s cheaper if you book directly from trigger tours. Google it.

We took a tour with Cara in late November and absolutely loved it. She provided a ton of history about Amsterdam in general, and seamlessly wove the city's history in with the history of both marijuana legalization (or, tolerance, let's say) and the legalization of prostitution. I learned so much on this tour! It felt, as other folks have said, like walking with a friend you hadn't seen a while - totally relaxed and at your own pace and Cara was great at answering all of our questions. Definitely do this tour if you can!

Booked this last minute and found Tony to be very quick at replying and helpful in arranging a tour for us of the red light district and coffee shops. Despite the cold and rain, he managed to make the 2 hour tour fun and very informative. We joined a group of 6 others, and walked around the district understanding the background and history, and also the perspective from a locals point of view which was interesting. Tony himself is a great young guy with lots of enthusiasm and very helpful for anyone wanting to get a fast low-down of the area, which was especially helpful when there for such a limited time.

This tour was really great. Our tour guide took us to a lot of interesting places and told us so much about the unique and interesting things about Amsterdam. It’s amazing how much we walked past prior to our tour. Our tour guide, Tony, did a really great job. And, when we read “private tour” we thought it meant that we would be in a small group, but no! It truly was a private tour. Just me, my girlfriend, and our guide, Tony. It was just like hanging out with a local for the day!

First and foremost Tony was FANTASTIC! The meeting spot was perfect, so easy. Tony was knowledgeable about the history of Amsterdam and Holland.
My friends and I had a ball! Tony did not shy away from the inner workings of the red light district and coffee houses. We actually wished we had booked an additional tour with Tony while we were in Holland. We recommend Trigger Tours for all of your needs while in Amsterdam. Tony we wish you the best and hope to see you again!
