Florence Duomo Sky Walk: Exclusive Entrance to Cathedral Terraces
US$82,51
Overview

Florence’s Duomo is one of the city’s best-known landmarks, and on this tour, you do more than just explore its interior and learn about its history—you also visit the cathedral’s lofty terraces, which have long been off-limits to the general public. Skip-the-line access means you won’t have to waste time battling crowds, and your guide will point out the many special artworks housed within its walls as you go.

What to Expect

This afternoon tour begins as you meet your guide at Florence’s centrally located Piazza della Repubblica. From there, it’s a speedy stroll to the Duomo. With its soaring dome designed by Brunelleschi and ornately painted walls, the cathedral is one of Florence’s most recognizable highlights.

With skip-the-line access, you head straight inside. Learn from your guide about the landmark’s history, and discover the masterworks within.

Next, head up the staircase and discover an area has been off-limits to most visitors for centuries: its terraces, which at more than 100 feet (30 meters) above the ground offer panoramic views overlooking the city. Take photos of the vista before climbing even higher to the top of Brunelleschi’s dome.

The tour finishes inside the Duomo, though you can linger after its conclusion. Your ticket also grants you limited-time access to other Duomo complex sites, including Giotto’s Bell Tower and the Baptistry of San Giovanni.

An excellent opportunity for amazing views and lots of history. Be sure you are prepared. There are close to 500 steps all in very narrow and steep passageways. As mentioned by other reviewers, you must wear comfortable shoes and have plenty of water. This tour...More
