Avoid navigating Palermo’s chaotic traffic with this hop-on, hop-off bus tour. Get quickly oriented by seeing the city’s top attractions in a short amount of time, listening to commentary along the way. From the top of a double-decker bus, you’ll get 360-degree views of highlights including Vucciria Market, Quatro Canti, and Teatro Massimo—one of Italy’s largest opera houses—and how long you spend at each is up to you.
  • Allows you to be spontaneous: hop off to explore when you want
  • Plan your own itinerary, including start and end times
  • Enjoy 360-degree views from the upper deck of the bus
  • Save money on transportation with a pass valid for 24 hours
What to Expect
Your tour of Palermo begins when you board the hop-on, hop-off bus. Climb on at any of the stops around the city, and disembark any time you want to visit a nearby attraction. Buses follow two routes. Line A has stops at the Quattro Canti, Botanical Gardens, Vucciria Market, and other attractions. Line B includes stops at the English Garden, Mercato del Capo, and Teatro Massimo. Along each route, learn about the city’s history from your audio guide, offered in several languages. This flexible tour lets you decide your own ending time and location. Plan your own itinerary, and get off at stops that interest you most. Your ticket includes unlimited rides for 24 hours after your first use.

It’s a great way to see the city. I ride them in almost all the cities I visit. It’s a great way to see an overview of the city to get your bearings. They are very similar in most places, so it is a comfortable feeling knowing what to do.

The buses were on time and the itinerary was covered as advertised with due consideration to those wanting to switch from one route to the other. Still ended up doing quite a bit of walking to visit sites in the Quattro Canti area which is partly pedestrianised.
