Don't waste your money on a very badly run service.
Over priced and extremely disappointing. The audio information was out of sink with our location from the information I got from my wife and the driver appeared to be rebooting the system whilst driving. I tried two sets of hearing buds but never did hear any commentary. The guide was not interested in my problem with receiving the audio and just kept chatting with the driver who was not concentrating on his driving! When we decided to get off the bus to take pictures we were told that we had 5 minutes and that getting in the next bus could be a problem. Don't bother, it is very poorly operated and not worth 25 Euros.

      Do not recommend
This is a waste of money. We have been sitting at a stop for almost a half hour…a metro would have been cheaper, faster and more accurately advertised. You can’t hardly see anything when you’re required to just sit around and wait. Easily the most poorly run hop on/hop off tour we’ve been on.

      No air conditioning!
Tour guide was friendly and spoke very good English. Absolutely no air conditioning on the bus the entire day and temps were hovering around 100. The heat and no air flow caused me to be sick. Not a fault of the tour company but you should be aware that there is only one public restroom around Pisa and it was out of service the day we visited.

      Hated it
Took the train from La Spezia to Cinque Terra and it cost $40 Euro ($75 AUD) IONE WAY!! and it was only valid from La Spezia to Monterosso. Then to top it off we had to pay another $40 Euro to get back. That’s $150 AUD to go to a very average beach!!! The staff are beyond rude, like u owe them something..! Treat people like crap, entitled bunch of you know what’s. These people rely on tourism but you wouldn’t know it. Everywhere we went it felt like we were inconveniencing them. Don’t waste your time & money coming here!!

      A perfect snapshot of Tuscany
My family (2 kids 14&16) took the Pisa, wine lunch, San Gimignano and Sirena tour with Barbara. It was a very busy day, full of amazing sights. Barbara was very informative and always smiling (despite the 35 degree heat). Pisa was a highlight - visiting before the heat and the crowds. The lunch and wine were picturesque and perfect for the day. We all loved the commentary and the opportunity to visit places we couldn’t go without a car. The bus was ok - but the air conditioner didn’t really work, so we were pretty hot for most of the day. Thanks for a wonderful day out - we have made lots of memories today!

Friendly and enjoyable tour of Tuscany
Our group leader was very lovely and kind throughout the whole trip despite extremely hot weather. She was very well organized and kept up with the timing of everything. Locations were great, light lunch was delicious. Just wish the bus was a bit better air conditioned!

      Fun, daily excursion!
This was a super fun experience and our tour guide, Giordano, was great! You can’t beat a chance to see a rural, rustic side of Italy and a chance to taste quality, local wines.

      Great Experience Today
We had a very busy day today. The stops here at this tour were breathtaking. My wife and I enjoyed every minute of this trip. Though it was very hot, we couldn’t be happier. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and she speaks 6 languages. Overall, we had a beautiful experience and it made us very pleased on our honeymoon.

Good tour even with the heat. Very accommodating when wanted to sit in park versus going into the town as I was not feeling well

      Terrible
The trip was very disappointing. The bus and the tour co-ordinator who was in the bus were fine but the guide at Pompeii was terrible. She was the guide for English but could not speak English well. As a result we could barely understand anything. The guided tour started at 10:50 and ended at 12:13. The people who did not do guided tours or who did audio tours were helped and they got in at least 30 min while we waited in the sun. They were either trying to get a guide or the guide was late - dont know what was the issue. There was utter chaos with no guidance or accountability. Same in Naples- we were let off and told to come back at a specific time. When we asked for recommendations- there were none. Naples is filled with tourist traps and we along with other guests had an unpleasant experiences. Would not recommend this company or tour.

This is a great tour/service, but for us it was a waste of money. If you are not staying long in Venice, have limited free time and you are using this as transportation between isles, then this is not for you. The boat stops running at approximately 5 pm every day and was not convenient so we spent extra on public transport outside of the red boat’s service hours.

I agree with the other poor reviews. We purchased tickets in St. Mark's Square. The loading place is very difficult to find and not where they tell you when you buy the ticket. There is no place to wait in the shade for the boat. The young lady that took the ticket and showed us where to wait was rude.
There is no commentary. That is not what a typical HOHO experience should be. We bought the ticket to learn about the different areas where the boat stopped. About 45 minutes into the tour we ended up across the canal and they told us to get off. We had no intention of exiting the boat until we returned. It was also starting to rain and we did not have jackets or rain gear. We were told that the next boat would be back in an hour. We were not given any information about what to do or expect at this unplanned stop. If you want to visit different places in Venice, take a water taxi and do not waste your money on this vendor.

This sight seeing tour was not worth the money. We expected like all the other city tours we have done that it would have a commentary. It didn't ! Basically it was identical to the water bus with less stops.
I saw the cruise terminal that was the highlight for me.

If I could give this minus 10 stars I would. I have done Hop-on Hop-off tours all over the states and now in Florence, Rome and Venice. I did the Venice one today and it was HORRIBLE!!! Part of doing the HOHO is to get the audio that gives history and other information about the areas you are traveling to between each stop. This gives you nothing. You get a crappy map and that's it. The girl who took our tickets was rude and when we made it to the last stop, the guy comes back and says "We're done." Really?! This was The. Worst. Ever. Don't waste your time or money. Take the vaporetto, the public transportation instead. You can get to anywhere you want in Venice and Murano and it's 20 euros for unlimited rides a day. Also, for other cities, the Big Bus HOHO is much better than the City Sightseeing.

This trip seems to be a love it or hate it reading the other reviews. We enjoyed it immensely.

It cost us €50 for two adults one child and the trip lasted all day.

We caught the sightseeing boat at the stop behind St Mark's Square which was nearest to our hotel. I think the main trick with this trip is to check the timetables and decide on where you want to stop before you set out.

The first part of the cruise out towards Lido island offered us some great views of Venice. We decided not to get off at Lido and stayed on board. There is a commentary as you head out towards Lido and Murano which offers interesting facts about the history especially with regards to Venice's maritime past.

The boat next visited Murano. Here you have to swap boats if you want to visit further islands. We looked at the timetables and decided to catch the next Island tour boat, just go around the smaller islands on the cruise and then come back to Murano for a wander round later. The other Islands are a lot smaller and the Island cruise boat doesn't stop very often at them. We decided there probably wasn't enough to keep us busy for 2 or 3 hours on the other islands so just chose to go on the cruise round and enjoy it, then get back off at Murano for some sightseeing.

There was a wait of about 40 minutes before the Island cruise boat and we took this time to visit a furnace, see some glass blowing and browse a few shops in Murano.

Onto the Island tour boat. There was no commentary on this boat but we had our phones and had looked up some information about the Islands we called at. These were Torcello, Burano and Punta Sabbioni. Torcello and Burano have picturesque churches and houses which you can easily photograph from the boat and we enjoyed the cruise on a lovely warm sunny day in April. We were obliged to disembark on Punta Sabbioni island for about 20 minutes due to a crew rest stop but we just laid in the sun until it was time to get back. The Island boat then made it's way back to Murano.

Murano is well worth the visit. Lots of furnaces, shops etc to visit and browse in and we had an afternoon meal before catching the final boat back to Venice main island where we got off again near St Mark's Square.

We spent basically all day on this trip and we thought it was worth the €50 we paid. The €50 included the trip from Venice main Island and the Island tour boat as well. I think our decision to cruise the Islands but only stop and visit Murano was the right one, and if you are doing this trip I would recommend you do something similar and also that you do it when the weather is good.

It doesn't give any information while on the boat. You can download audio for a walking tour but there has to be better tours available. The only good thing was that it picked up and dropped off to the train station which was handy for us but other than that I would not recommend it

It did not give you any direction were to catch the boats. When we got on the boat they only gave us a map of where the go stops are and not the destinations where the leave you. So you don't know where to go in the town to see any sights!

How do I hear you ask, how can you lose 55 euro when they charge 40 for two tickets. Well let me explain. We pre-booked and got on at St Marks after spending a fair while looking for their signpost. We decided to disembark at Lido. Big mistake. When we tried to get back on we where told to move by two different tour operators and when our boat finally arrived the bloke on the boat looked at us and drove off. A further 15 euro spent with Actv finally got us back to St Marks. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS MOB. RIP OFF ARTISTS.

This is more convenient than anything as walking is not easy way to see Venice. The island of Venice is mostly consists of hotels and tourist places. Navigating through the road is interesting as you will get confused easily and lose directions, even google map is not so useful. Therefore, by boat it is easy to move from different boat stops and once you are done you can take rest in the boats.
