St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace, two of Venice’s most popular attractions, are conveniently close to one other, so a combined tour of both, with skip-the-line access, just makes sense. This guided tour reveals info crucial to understanding each landmark, includes a ticket to view the Golden Pall (Pala d’Oro) in the basilica, and saves you hours of time waiting in line.
What to Expect
Meet your guide in St. Mark’s Square and walk to the Doge’s Palace, where the Doge once governed the Venetian Republic.

Bypass the lines and tour the halls filled with artwork by greats such as Titian and Tintoretto. Admire the Giants’ Staircase, Golden Staircase, Opera Museum, and Institutional Rooms. Then, cross the Bridge of Sighs and imagine the anguish of the long-ago prisoners who were led across it to Venice’s infamous prison.

Afterward, continue to St. Mark’s Basilica, one of the world’s most magnificent cathedrals. Avoid the ticket lines and absorb the spiritual atmosphere as you explore the interior, hearing how it reflects the flowering of Venice during its heyday.

Marvel at the golden mosaics and other artworks as your guide shares their history, and you view highlights including the gemstone-coated Byzantine Golden Pall (Pala d’Oro) altarpiece.

Your tour ends when your guide says goodbye at St. Mark’s.

Mass Confusion

You are instructed to gather at the blue clock tower near the exchange and you’ll experience mass confusion with hundreds of other tourists. Yep, you can skip the line but pack lots of patience. You might had wished you hadn’t stayed with the group. I...More

Saved loads of time but above all we a really informative and a great presenter

Worth every penny. Got a lot more local info. about what we were seeing with a great guide. Jumped the queue and had a very informative trip around areas we could not otherwise have visited.

Worth it for 'skip the line'

Guide ok, albeit CV a tad disorganised 😑 Took ages to get started, but once he got going, there was plenty of interesting facts and insights into both the Basilica and the Palace

Worth the money

We had a great experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and funny at times. The skip the line for St Marks is well worth the money.

If I may add, the tour started at Doge's Palace, then ended at St. Mark's Basilica. Its a nice, informative and interesting tour. At the exit of St. Mark's Basilica, there is a narrow stairway going up. This is NOT part... More

Yes, the ticket is good for two other places one is the museum but you do those on your own time, no tour.

About 2 hours. Its a very good tour. Be sure to wear good walking shoes. There are a lot of stairs & very small walk ways.
