By far our favorite part of our trip to Italy. Our host Antionetta was so happy to welcome us into her beautiful home and she was a wonderful teacher. We had so much fun making the pasta and tiramisu and an even better time eating it with views of Lake Como while we spoke to our lovely host about her life and culture! It was such an amazing experience that we were so sad to leave her! Highly, highly recommend Antionetta and this class to anyone that will be in the Varenna area.

A wonderful private cooking class in Varenna. The chef’s name was Monica, which was easy to remember. She was lovely and friendly. She taught us how to make a pasta with ragú, a ravioli stuffed with ricotta, rosemary, & speck (smoked pork), and her grandmother’s traditional tiramisu. The recipes were easy enough to recreate at home. She used fresh ingredients, some from her garden. It was fun to learn from and cook with her. The food was magnificent. A fabulous experience overall! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was the most amazing experience! My husband and I did the class with Patrizia (along with another couple) and will recommend to everyone we know making the trip to Como area. We made tortellini, fettuccini & tiramisu. Patrizia was the best host, so kind and welcoming into her home. She did a wonderful job including everyone on the process, she explained things well too. Before eating, she gave us coffee, wine, fresh focaccia bread she made along with fresh cheese and salami. It was so filling and so fun to learn from her, everything tasted fresh. If you are someone that loves to cook I highly recommend this class!!

We had an amazing private cooking lesson for two with Gabriella R in Baveno. Gabriella and her son were entertaining hosts. The fresh pasta we prepared was delicious, and made with simple fresh ingredients that make me think we can actually try these recipes once we are back home. And this was no sit and watch but we were active participants, put to work, so the experience was really interactive - and fun. Would recommend to anyone looking for a personalized experience ending in a fabulous meal! With a beautiful view of Lake Maggiore as well!

We had the most amazing time with Patrizia and Luca. They were fantastic hosts and welcomed us in their home. Definitely would recommend to anyone! Highlight of our trip!!!

This was such a good class. There was just the 4 of us and Cesarina and her family made us so welcome. We learnt a whole load of new skills and I have already bought ingredients to make the recipes at home. Well worth it.

We had a fabulous time and learned a lot in the beautiful home of our host, Ada. She greeted us with the warmest smile and made us comfortable in her own home right away. She was informative and patient. We finished our lesson with a lovely lunch of the pasta and tiramisu that we prepared, as well as a delicious appetizer and homemade limoncello. Ada was the perfect host, and we were so grateful for her expertise. The ONLY downside, and why I didn’t give 5 stars, was that when I booked the event, it showed the location as Desanzo Del Garda, the town we were staying in. The day before the event, I found it was actually 20 minutes away from the town, so I had to hire a taxi to get there and back.

My friend and I took this class while staying in Varenna and it was amazing! Patrizia and Luca are so kind and welcoming, and great teachers. We ate in the garden with a view of Lake Como and it was perfect. My friend and I can’t wait to make the recipes we made at home for our families! If you are planning a trip to this area and want to take a cooking class, this is the one to take!

My girlfriend and I attended the pasta and tiramisu cooking class and we had a wonderful time. It exceeded our expectations! Our hosts Patrizia and Luca were amazing in teaching us to cook, telling us about their history and culture and they made us feel welcome in their beautiful home. They were amazing conversationalists and made many worthy suggestions. The views of the lake were spectacular and the food was superb. 100% recommended.

Our afternoon with Julianna and her family was a highlight of our trip to Milan! What incredible people to welcome us into their home. Our market trip was very educational as was our cooking class. Making homemade pasta is so much fun! We will never forget this family and how kind and friendly they are. Thank you Julianna for a wonderful experience we will remember forever!

By far the best part of our trip to Italy. After spending a week crisscrossing the Italian landscape, visiting the most beautiful places Italy has to offer, we felt that it was the owners of Cesarine (Rulers of the Kitchen) that were truly the most beautiful aspect that Italy had to offer. Making pasta and tiramisu with Patrizia and Luca in their 1542est house was truly an experience. Nestled on the steep hillside above the beautiful town of Bellano, on Lake Como, lies the small commune of Pradello, known for their long history of growing olives and grapes. I won't lie, getting to their house was an experience all on it's own, so short of finding a local Billy Goat to carry you up the steep hillside, I would have Patrizia schedule a taxi to get you to their home. Patrizia and Luca welcomed us with open arms, even carried much of our luggage to their home, treating us like beloved family that has come home for the annual Christmas extravaganza. Learning to make pasta from scratch was special, doing so with a family in their nearly 500 year old home, was truly a treat. The six of our crew all participated in making the delicacies of the day. It was quite fun to challenge each other on how well we all followed the directions of Patrizia. Although making our luncheon for the day was the goal, it was the comradery of Patrizia and Luca that truly made our experience so special. At some point, the men of our group separated from the women, who wished to stay behind and learn the secretes of Italian sauces, sat and embellished the wonderful conversations and stories Luca had to offer. Lunch on the back lawn overlooking Lake Como, with wine in hand, eating a fabulous meal made with the fresh produce from their garden, and having the best tiramisu I have ever had...life doesn't get much better. So, if you are ever in the Bellagio/Varenna area, I would strongly recommend taking time out of your busy schedule to sit back, relax, eat, drink, and enjoy the view with the fabulous friends of Cesarine.

I was very disappointed that the sauce for the pasta was out of a Jar. In my own kitchen it would always be made from scratch. Also the wine was served after the meal from warm open bottle sitting on the counter.

This was an amazing class and cultural experience that I would highly recommend. I spent a morning learning to make and cook pasta and sauces with Luisa and her family, culminating in a lovely lunch with the family. I learned a ton and felt so welcomed in their home. It’s great to get away from the tourists and spend some time with an Italian family. I have already put my new skills to work and prepared a fresh pasta meal for a dinner party. Delicious food, warm and fun people, what else could one ask for 🤩. Book this experience now!

I would recommend this to everyone. Patrizia was an amazing host for a life changing experience. She welcomed us into her amazing home with a beautiful view of Lake Como, and introduced us to family recipes that created a delicious dinner and dessert. Anyone who is in the Lake Como area should certainly take the time to visit Patrizia, it is well worth it.
