The tour was enjoyable, but what was supposed to be 1 hour stretched to 2 hours due to delays. We had to wait at the ticket office, and the guide wasn't ready on time. A bit more organization would have made the experience smoother.

We had a fantastic tour of the Colosseum in Rome with the most perfect tour guide. Oriana was so friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. Would highly recommended her to anyone.

Went end of June 2023, it doesn't allow any earlier ---to skip the line was a perk, but I don't think it was worth the money. A few stories were told, but perhaps would be better to go on your own. "Look yourself" was most of the tour anyway.

A trip of a lifetime. Our guide was knowledgeable about the minute details of the history of the colosseum. I’ll remember it forever.

Sun in Rome was very accomodating (punctual and friendly) and Sabrina was a great tour guide. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who would want a brief overview of the Colosseum as long as you don't mind being in a part of a larger group

During this visit I really had a great time. Our guide Ilaria was amazing, you could really see she has a passion for this. Her explanation were great and entertaining. I couldn't have wished for a better tour and guide. Greatly recommended!!

We thoroughly enjoyed this small group tour of the Colosseum and the Forum. Valentina was gracious, knowledgeable, and thoughtful as she steered us through the crowds and offered interesting perspectives and information, taking time to answer our questions, even serving as photographer for us. She has a great sense of how much information and activity her group has the capacity for. We appreciated and enjoyed our tour and Valentina made it all possible.

Sun in Rome never showed up w/ my 2 tickets on 11/19/23 @ 1:00pm. I purchased my tickets through Viator on on 11/18/23. We traveled from Barcelona to Spain early morning on 11/19/23. We checked in to the hotel and then taxied down to the Colosseum. We arrived at 11:55am for a 1:00 meet time. I called Sun in Rome Tours at least 3 times with no answer. I called Viator and they tried to assist me. Viator called the local provider (Sun in Rome Tours) and they did not answer multiple calls from Viator. I am extremely disappointed that I was scammed out of my money, and the opportunity. There were not a single same day ticket to be bought anywhere on site or online. The tickets were $88 each, but the cost of travel, hotel were way more, but the feeling of being scammed is worse!

Booked with Sun in Rome tours through Viator and got a confirmation, then the night before tour they moved the tour time. Then later that night they canceled (which I didn’t see till the morning because we were on a cruise ship with limited service) saying Viator didn’t close availability in time, then they said it’s caused by the internal administration of the Colosseum and also that Sun in Rome Tours overbooked. Left me with 2 & 1/2 hours to find new tickets (which I was unable to) while traveling into Rome on a train. The absolute worst customer experience ever, Beware, a confirmation means nothing. If they can’t procure tickets after they’ve told you they did and you have a confirmation then too bad for you. Spoke to the Colosseum who disagrees with what Sun in Rome is telling me. They kept my money till the last possible minute then told me too bad, try getting tickets at the Colosseum that’s their best advice. See chats with Sun in Rome attached and confirmation. Lots of excuses but no ticket and they threaten me with a lawyer if I posed a bad review. I don’t know what it’s called when a company takes your money then doesn’t provide a service but that’s what happened and apology and refund don’t cut it. I will never use this company again!!!

The guide was informative and had a funny dry sense of humor. I really enjoyed the tour and the length of the tour was just right. We were able to go through the colosseum and the Roman forum in 90 minutes. We were very happy with the experience.

Marco was so informative by far my favorite trip ever. He knew the answers to all of questions and didn't rush me away from the sites

Eva Maria Herrera was an exceptional tour guide. She is very passionate about history of Rome and keeps herself well informed. She is an excellent educator, providing very informative information in chronological and logical order, allowing group to figure out answers to historical questions. We will strongly recommend Eva for anyone interested in tours of Rome

My husband and I booked this tour through Get Your Guide (the local provider was Vivicos International Travel), and the date of our tour was July 24th. The tour was supposed to begin at 10:00 AM. We arrived early to learn that it would actually be at 10:30 AM, so they "fit us in" to a 9:30 tour. Despite having paid extra for entrance to the arena, the guide insisted that was not part of the tour when we asked her about it mid-tour. Otherwise, the guide was knowledgeable and engaging. Seeing the Colosseum was amazing, of course, as was Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum. We would just recommend avoiding the bait-and-switch (with both the tour times, as well as access to the arena) by Vivicos International Travel and book with a more reputable tour company.

Our guide was really inept. She was more worried about the return of the audio pieces than the tour. We lost 45 minutes in just getting inside and once inside she seemed to tired to take us inside the collosium as it was sunny. Overall it was a very very poor experience.
