What a fantastic time we had with our tour guide Guia Grandi. She is so knowledgeable but able to present material in a way that isn’t overwhelming. We would highly recommend. Jill and Gus, Indianapolis

Fabulous
What a wonderful experience this was. From the booking with Pips to the tour with Thomas.
It was a last minute decision with a few friends.
Pips worked with us to be certain we had the time we wanted. She was accommodating and helpful.
She made sure we had all the information we needed and were satisfied.
Thomas, our guide, was a wealth of information!
The tour was incredible.
I have had tours of the Vatican before but never like this.
I have recommended this company to a number of friends and all have been as happy as I was.

Another outstanding performance by our tremendous Thomas and what an achievement to have his Vatican tour voted the best ever! He will be chuffed to pieces to read your wonderful review and so nice especially after all these months of uncertainty and global lockdowns, it is truly delightful to have our guides back out on the streets and taking guests around the sites and monuments sharing their love and passion for history. We were thrilled to have you with us and thank you so much for recommending us to friends, greatly appreciated - be sure to let us know next time you are in Italy so we can organise more adventures for you! Fantastic tour with art history presented like a story
Dec 2019
We loved this tour, in spite of the freezing cold morning! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and made the history unfold like a good story (which it is). She explained the art and the techniques used, the history behind it, and the people throughout - like people one might know. She really brought history to life. Seeing the treasures of western society all housed in the Vatican is an extraordinary experience and a privilege. Don't miss it!

We are delighted to read that you had such a beautiful experience with our guide at the Vatican: we are very happy that you appreciated the style of our guide, and that she was able to create an engaging story about the art, history, techniques and society of the time, that's exactly the kind of experience we aim to provide! Looking forward to have you back on our tours, Francesca

Early Morning Vatican Tour with Sistine Chapel.
Dec 2019 • Solo
The tour was great. Enrica, the guide, was there on time and ready to go. She was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I would highly recommend Through Eternity Tours for this early morning tour of the Vatican and St. Peter's. It is worth doing as you avoid the massive crowds that come when the doors open to the general public.

She is indeed an amazing guide, with lots of knowledge to share (she studied Archaeology at the university!) and a genuine passion for her subject. We are really happy that you enjoyed our Early Entrance Vatican Tour, like you said it is really worth it to wake up so early to beat the crowds! Thank you for sharing your beautiful impressions with us, we hope to have you soon back on our tours. A presto, Francesca

Excellent introduction to the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica
Nov 2019
The tour was a wonderful introduction to the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's. Our guide, Federica, was knowledgeable, informative, open to questions, and full of stories that brought the vast, rich Vatican to life.

Dear jtrav1225, Thank you so much for your beautiful review! Yes the Vatican is, just like you said, vast and rich, a never ending treasure trove full of beautiful artwork, religion, history and spirituality: it can be overwhelming sometimes, but with a guide like Federica you really hit the jackpot! She is sweet, very knowledgeable and loves her job. So we are glad to read that you were able to see many areas of the Vatican and appreciated the passion and knowledge of your guide. Grazie mille! We hope to see you soon again in Rome! Best regards, Francesca

The early morning skip the line tour is well worth it. Our tour guide, Val, was exceptional. She is a proud Roman with extensive knowledge and she was fun to be around. We highly recommend her.

It was so lovely to hear what an amazing time you had with mama Val, isn't she just adorable!? I call her my little jar of dynamite, endless energy and enthusiasm so we only allow the top of the jar to be opened in small doses or risk being bowled over completely! She loves Rome and her passion is absolutely contagious. She has spent many a season taking guests through the Vatican Museums and loves nothing more than spending her days among these masterpieces and artefacts, she really is the perfect companion. Thank you for your 5-star review and I will be sure Valeria sees it, she will be delighted! Pips

An excellent value. We learned much and had a wonderful time.
Aug 2019
Our tour guide Cinzia and Through Eternity exceeded expectations. My wife and I joined the "The Early Morning Vatican Tour with Sistine Chapel". Great performance on all aspects.

Cons: None.

Pros:

- Sign-up process. I was able to sign us up 12 months in advance. (If you sign up far in advance as we did, I recommend reconfirming a few days before the tour in case the time or meeting place has changed.)

- Advance information on when and where to meet was easy-to-understand.

- We were the first tour group among the tour companies to enter the Vatican Museum. Front-of-the-line.

- Size of tour group was manageable, numbering only about 12 people. (The other tour we did in Rome from a different company had about 21.)

- Our TOUR GUIDE CINZIA. Cinzia was outstanding. Highly professional and engaging, she was a wonderful representative for Through Eternity. She appears to enjoy her work and meeting new people.
Cinzia warmly greeted everyone at the meeting place and learned where we were from.
Very knowledgeable about the artwork and Vatican history, CInzia provided us much new and interesting information. We especially enjoyed the explanation of the Sistine Chapel paintings, and the humor of Michelangelo that can be found in some of the illustrations.
Cinzia was nimble at maneuvering our group through the Museum among the other groups entering after us. She set clear expectations with us on how she would focus on certain displays.
Cinzia continuously monitored the mood of us tour members, anticipating any unease with explanations that quickly tamped down such feelings.

After completing the Vatican Museum portion of the tour we moved directly into St. Peters Cathedral through a passageway. Also excellent.

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour, and learned much. A great value.

Dear JeffB4706, Thank you so much for such a wonderful and detailed review, we are so grateful that you took the time of writing it: grazie di cuore! This is very helpful for us, your list of all the pros you get with our tours is phenomenal, because it explains very clearly the points of strength that we have been working so hard to build in the last 20 years of activity in the field. We are so happy that you noticed and appreciated all the little but crucial details that contribute to the success of a tour. We believe that starting early is very important in order to be among the first groups to enter the museums and avoid the large crowds. Also, we are convinced that the small size of the groups is very important, because it facilitates the communication between the guide and our guests, as well as between clients. Cinzia is indeed a wonderful guide, extremely knowledgeable, friendly, engaging, very attentive to her guests' needs and always ready to go the extra mile for her guests. We are so happy that you had a wonderful time on Cinzia's tour! We would be very happy to welcome you back on our tours very soon, Arrivederci! Francesca

Simply outstanding. Traveling with a teen, preteen and my 70+ Mother and we all enjoyed this top notch tour. Federica is an incredible guide - deeply knowledgeable and passionate, charming, fantastic story teller, effortlessly guided us through the museum, exhibits & basilica like a pro. Her tour was a highlight of our 2.5 week trip. Highly recommend.

Fabulous Tour of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel
Aug 2019
We had a wonderful tour. One of the great benefits of a private tour is you learn so much more than you could ever on your own. Much more personalized than a large group tour. Our tour guide Eugenia D\'Andreaon was very patient and took the time to answer all our questions and not make us feel rushed. Would recommend this tour to anyone I know.

With a private tour you can learn a lot and you get to have a more personalised experience. We hope to see you soon back on our tours to discover many other incredible sites in our beautiful country! Excellent tour
We had Enrica as our guide. She was very passionate and informative. She did a lot of explaining while we were in line to enter. It was still very busy early in the morning, but that is expected. We saw a lot of highlights in the museum and Basilica. Sistine Chapel was beautiful and much more interesting after Enrica's explaination.

Hello Ylc25, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are proud to read that you had such a great time with Enrica on her tour. She is a super star and being born and raised in Rome gives her wealth of knowledge about the Eternal City. The Vatican is indeed getting busier and luckily you enjoyed the area's early in the morning. We hope to welcome you on our tours again. *Desiree*
