Overview
See Rome’s highlights in an efficient, flexible way on a hop-on hop-off bus tour. Choose a 24- or 48-hour ticket to suit your schedule, and then step aboard at one of the eight stops and enjoy unobstructed views from the open-top upper deck. Sights include the Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum, and Vatican City, among others. Upgrade to include admission ticktes to attractions such as the Sistine Chapel, the Vatican Museums, the Roman Forum, and the Colosseum.
What to Expect
With your prepaid ticket in hand, make your way to one of the eight stops on the bus route. Choose between a 24-hour or 48-hour ticket when booking, according to your interests, schedule, and budget. You can also choose to add admission tickets to the Sistine Chapel, the Vatican Museums, Palatine Hill, the Roman Forum, and the Colosseum to your hop-on hop-off ticket, which saves time spent waiting in ticketing lines.

Step on board the bus and choose a seat in the covered portion of the bus or the open deck up top. Listen to the audio commentary with historical and cultural information about each sight as you pass. If you stay on board the entire time, the loop takes between 1.5 and 2 hours; otherwise, you can choose to get off at any of the stops and explore further on your own.

See the Colosseum where gory gladiatorial battles once took place, and have your camera ready for Piazza Venezia, home to the Vittorio Emanuele II Monument. Throw a coin into the Trevi Fountain for luck, or stretch your legs on a walk through Vatican City.

With skip the line colosseum

If wanting to go all around Rome, including the colosseum and the forum this is the way to do it. Although you cannot go to the colosseum until after 2pm the skip the line is well worth it. We visited the Trevi fountain in the...More

Yeah, there are problems. But, read on

Before beginning my narrative, I read a few previous reviewers. I have to agree on a few points: Closeness to attractions, available advice, human face of the company. Allow me to address these first before I give my take. The bus lines do not choose...More

Terrible

The operators refused to open the top even at night. This made it very hard to see the sights. The recorded message is minimal and mostly filled with music. The stops were all exceedingly long even when no one got on of off. I have...More
