This small-group food walking tour of Rome ensures you’ll taste the best the city has to offer, without any guesswork. Let a guide reveal the best food spots in Trastevere, Campo de’ Fiori, and the Jewish quarter. Sample staples and stray from the beaten track with tastes of fried artichokes, gelato, cured salami, and pizza bianca (white pizza). A small group limited to 12 maintains an intimate atmosphere.

What to Expect

Meet your guide at Piazza Farnese in Rome, and stroll to the first stop of your walking tour.

At Campo de’ Fiori, home to a popular food market, hear your guide explain the function of exotic ingredients while you browse stalls overflowing with fresh Italian produce and enjoy samples.

Continue to Trastevere, a district replete with cobbled streets and traditional eateries, to visit restaurants recommended by your guide. Feast on classic Roman dishes such as pizza bianca (pizza made without tomato sauce), mozzarella cheese, and artisan gelato.

Next up is the bohemian Jewish quarter, where you’ll stop at local delicatessens to try fried artichoke and risotto balls around Piazza della Cinque Scole.

The tour concludes at Trastevere.

Fantastic and tasty tour!

We have participated in a small group food tour with Valeria. This was a memorable experience, Valeria has a great knowledge about Rome, its history and food area, and makes it a fascinating story. The tour was interesting and very tasty. Highly recommended!

We were there in winter so the pickings were slim

We participated in this tour one day after doing a tour with the Roman Food Tour group and this one did not measure up. The food was just ok and it was not presented with as much information. There was little participation by the hosting...More
