Meet your guide and hop aboard your air-conditioned coach in Rome’s Piazza dei Re di Roma in the mid-afternoon, and head out of the city into the rolling hills of the Castelli Romani to begin your tour. Travel through ancient olive groves and past row upon row of centuries-old vineyards, and soak up spectacular views of the verdant Italian countryside. The fertile soils here have been used in wine production since the Roman Era and there are thousands of years of winemaking heritage to discover. Head deep into the Frascati region — where the celebrated Pallavicini winemaking family has been working the land since the 17th century — and follow your guide on a tour of the Principe Pallavicini estate. Gain insight into the various stages of wine production and learn how their techniques have evolved from antiquity to the present day. Step inside 3rd-century cellars where fine wines mature slowly in Acacia and French Oak barrels, and listen as your guide details the complex winemaking processes at play. The wines produced on this estate are regular winners of prestigious international awards such as the Decanter World Wine Award and the Vinitaly Cangrande Award, cementing their place among the region’s very finest. Continue on to the estate’s beautiful 17th-century farmhouse and enjoy a tasting session led by the professional sommelier. Sample delicate fruit flavors in reds such as casa romana and soleggio and subtle sweetness in whites like poggio verde, before finishing with a taste of the delicious dessert wine, stillato. When it’s time to depart from the estate, hop back aboard your coach for the journey back to Rome where your wine tasting tour will come to an end.

Great way to spend half a day outside the city
We are a family of four adults and had spent two full days in the city and ended our Roman trip with this your. Paolo gave a great tour and the countryside was beautiful. O even saw my first aquaduct. We didn't buy any wine because the shipping was prohibitive but there was no pressure

This tour was definitely worth it. Overall it was a great experience; from the tour guide explaining the history of Rome and wine on the bus ride there, to him showing us around the beautiful grounds of the winery, to the excellent sommelier who taught us everything we needed to know about wine. Not to mention the delicious wine we got to drink. I would highly recommend.

Wonderful Trip!
Aug 2019 • Solo
I was looking for something that got me out of the city and this tour was the perfect solution. Our tour guide, Manuelo, was excellent. He provided a lot of interesting history of the area and the Roman wine country. The winery was small, but quaint and the tasting was very good. I especially loved the tutorial on how to hold your wine glass and correctly taste the wine.

Awesome experience!
We had so much fun on this wine tour. It wasn’t a long drive from Rome, which was nice. Jennifer was amazing! She showed us vineyard and the wine cellar, which was really interesting. Then we headed to the tasting, which was amazing. I loved every single one of the wines and the pours were very generous. The prices were really reasonable too. I wish we would have done this towards the beginning of our trip so we could have bought a bottle to drink while we were in Rome. I definitely recommend this tour if you’re looking for a quick half day fun wine tasting experience.

Fantastic day out!
Jul 2019 • Couples
Thoroughly enjoyed this tour - Rebecca was welcoming and knowledgable, telling us about the wines, vineyards and the historical sites we could see on the way to the vineyard. We were the only group in the vineyard; it was unlocked specifically for us, which allowed us time to see everything away from the crowds and at a more relaxed pace compared to some of the tours from Rome.
Very good value for money with 4 large glasses of wine, pizza and bread included, as well as expert instruction from a sommelier. We've gained a whole new appreciation of wine, as well as discovering some new wines we'd never heard of before.
We bought wine and oil at the end of the tour, but there was no "hard-sell" or any obligation to do so.
Highly recommended!

Great Winery Tour to Fit in a Short Visit
Jun 2019 • Friends
This trip was absolutely perfect! Myself and a group of 9 other college students only had 3 days in Rome, Italy, so we wanted to get the best of both worlds by seeing the ancient city as well as the wine country. This half-day tour allowed us to do just that. Rebecca was an absolute angel of a tour guide and made the trip so so fun. She was so knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The vineyard was so beautiful and the wine tasting itself was so much fun. The 4 servings of wine were very generous and they also gave us bread, olive oil, and pizza. The wine and olive oil were also very fairly priced to purchase afterwards. Overall amazing experience!!! I highly recommend.
