I'm usually not big on guided tours, honestly we booked this because it was the only way we could get into Alhambra on short notice. That being said, I'm so glad we did. This is THE WAY to see Alhambra. Our guide "V" was incredibly knowledgeable, she isn't just a tour guide, she studied history at the University. She was friendly, extremely well informed, spoke great English, and paced the tour perfectly. She knew all the facts and explained them in a way which kept us interested, never bored. She had a great personality and it never felt like she was reading a script or something out of a book. She answered every question and even gave great advice on what to do in town.

The tour was good and the guide had a lot of knowledge. Although it didn’t include the Nasrid palace. Also, we didn’t bring photo ID so had to pay another €15 on top to reschedule, it was quite expensive to begin with.

In terms of the actual tour itself, I think they should give us some time to explore some of the sights ourselves. E.g. give us some information and then let us walk around for a bit. Sometimes I felt as though I was on a school trip and we all had to stay together.

Overall quite expensive for what it was! Personally next time I would just get a normal ticket if possible, otherwise an audio guide might be better than an actual tour guide.

First of all HUGE thank you to V for a fabulous tour that absolutely exceeded our expectations. She was so engaging and knowledgeable and really enhanced the experience.

For people considering a visit to the alhambra without a tour, I would strongly recommend you re-think and book this experience, as there is so much history and context that I personally feel it would be a waste of a trip without the fascinating insight that comes with having a guide.

Worth every penny and would 100% recommend!

We had book a tour of Alhambra and it got canceled the morning of the event. It was the last full day in Spain so there was no chance to reschedule. It was planned as the main sightseeing event for our visit.

The only sure way to access Alhambra is to purchase tickets trough the Alhambra official ticket office (2-3 months in advance during high season).

We were very grateful that parts of Alhambra is open to the public and can be accessed without standing in line.

The tour operator offered us a free city walking tour in the evening. Unfortunately it did not suite us since we drove from Malaga only to see Alhambra.

It was a great disappointment!

We (family of 4) did this tour a few days ago and it was really great! There was one other couple with us. Our tour guide’s name was Manu. He was absolutely the sweetest and funniest guide. He had lots of knowledge about the issues and made the tour more interesting with his conversation. He even spoke three languages (Spanish, Italian, English)! He was the most animated tour guide I’ve ever met, and never simply lectured on subject matters. I do not normally find history interesting, but I really loved this. You can tell that Manu truly loves the history from the way he speaks, and he knows a lot about all of the topics. We even talked a little bit about Shakespeare! Overall, the tour was really interesting and fun, and I’ll miss Manu very much :))

Anita has been the best guide we've ever had, sweet, caring and extremely knowledgeable. The tour is just amazing, allowing us to see the amazing Alhambra which is something you have to experience in your life at least once. The people at the reception are very professional, too, and they managed to give us the chance to see the Alhambra even at the busiest season of the year. They also have a very nice and big office in which you can sit and wait while your guide gives you everything you need. They're all extremely kind and organized, and we'll definitely remember our experience with Anita for the years to come.

I absolutely fell in love with Granada, thank you to this tour. As a solo traveler I loved the fact that I had the opportunity to make friends with people in the group as we learned the history of Alhambra. The tour in itself, if you’re looking for a tour that not only has beautiful sights but also gives you the opportunity to learn & really embrace the beauty of the Alhambra etc… this tour is for you! Manu (the tour guide) was down to earth and truly one who loves teaching. Manu motivated everyone to learn and immerse oneself into the culture/history. I cannot recommend this tour enough- it’s a must!

Manuel was excellent. He was involving the group, making everything really exciting, interesting and fun. We learnt a lot since he is very competent and he left us with a flavour of the history and life in The Alhambra. Congratulations to Manuel!!!

We booked this trip 5 days in advance (when the official Alhambra website was already sold out), and drove from Malaga just for it. When we arrived at Sixthrills, they informed us very nonchalantly that our tickets had been cancelled. They had apparently sent us a text message, but we hadn't received it. They had not emailed or tried to call us to inform us of the cancellation. They had overbooked the tour and didn't receive enough entries from Alhambra. Unacceptable and very unprofessional! Thankfully some areas of the Alhambra are open to the public, so we managed to have a nice day despite this huge disappointment. Sixthrills should be banned from doing business.

We had a great time touring the Alhambra with our guide, V. She gave the perfect balance between facts and interesting stories and was very friendly. The headset was perfect, we could listen to V but also wander a little in each area. It was perfect for such a busy tourist destination. Would highly recommend the tour organiser, the office was easy to find and very comfortable to wait in before the tour.
