Overview

Berlin’s World War II history is a point of interest for many visitors, but locating the significant sites of the regime can be difficult. Learn about the operation of Sachsenhausen-Oranienburg, one of the Third Reich’s key concentration camps, on a tour that includes the camp’s barracks and extermination center, gaining sobering insight into the brutality that took place there. Meet your group at an easy-to-find, centrally located Berlin spot.

What to Expect

Begin your day at a meeting point located near Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate. Greet your guide and travel by public transport (own expense) to the memorial site, located on the outskirts of the city.

On arrival at the camp, tour its different sections, including the extermination zone, crematorium, pathology department, barracks, roll call square, and Gestapo prison. Learn more about the camp’s chilling history and its central role under the Third Reich as an SS training centre.

On conclusion of your visit, return to your original meeting point via public transport, with new insights into the notorious concentration camp.
