The Nazi surrender that ended the Second World War is still a point of interest for any visitor to Berlin, but matching locations to these poignant moments of history can be a challenge. Forget the guidebook and hear from a guide about Hitler’s dramatic last days in Berlin, and learn more about the daily life of those who lived, and resisted, under Nazi rule, while viewing some of the most significant historical sites in the city.
What to Expect

Meet your guide near Zoologischer Garten train station, and together explore a route of key locations under the Third Reich and during the final Battle of Berlin, including the Luftwaffe headquarters and the Ministry of Propaganda. Follow the route of the final Soviet assault, eventually reaching the Reichstag itself.

Next, stop at the Soviet War Memorial, before heading onto the headquarters of Hitler’s Nazi government, the New Reich Chancellery, to view Hitler’s bunker and learn more about the events leading up to his suicide in April 1945. Listen as your professional guide shares insights into daily life under Nazi rule and discuss the events that caused Hitler’s unique rise to absolute power, including the Lebensraum policy, and find yourself immersed in the dramatic events that led to end of the Third Reich.

Conclude your tour in a designated central location, and leave with a thorough appreciation of the events that culminated in the Nazi surrender, and the locations that shaped them.

Fantastic value for money

We had our tour with Chloe on the 27th August. It was genuinely brilliant - informative, well planned out and amazing for the price we paid. Will definitely have another Insider Tour when we visit Berlin again!

The tour is 4 hours. Our guide stopped at a cafe inside a free museum so if anyone wanted they could use the toilets and have some refreshments. The cafe served hot food, salads and cakes but no sandwiches. We didn't want... More
