Great Guide, Great Tour
Dec 2019
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and the guide. Guide was knowledgeable and the route seemed like a good one. When we visit Munich again, we'll try another of their tours.

City Center and English Gardens Tour
Was a good tour. Michael was very nice and informative. Made sure everyone was gathered in each place before he started talking. Gave good information about Munich’s history and important landmarks. Gave us great recommendations for restaurants after. I think if I would have to do again, I’d pick a tour without the gardens so could see more city. This is no fault of Michael’s.

Incredible Tour
Aug 2019 • Couples
We had a fabulous tour with Noel Byrnes! He was an incredible tour guide and gave us so much information during our tour. We walked all over Munich, saw the important buildings and learned some about the history and culture of Munich, we saw the surfers in the park and so much more. He was one of the best tour guides we have ever had!

Limited info and limited English
Aug 2019
I hate writing bad reviews of nice people but I paid for the tour and felt I would have been better served on the free one.
In addition, our small group, unlike other tours, was never asked the nice little touches like Where are you from? Are you enjoying your trip?
Our guide, an older German lady, was a slow walker and she had knowledge but it was presented like a memorized encyclopedia entry. In addition she could not answer questions when asked in English or she did not get the correct gist of the question.
I had taken a different bike tour the previous day and when I asked about a detail regarding something she was talking about she did not seem to know or understand this information.

Ralph no show
Jul 2019 • Solo
I arrived at the Information Kiosk at the New Town Hall at 10.20am for 10.30am tour, went inside and was told to wait for the guide outside. There was one person holding a sign in German, so I spoke to him, he assumed Ralph would be along shortly. Then I saw an older lady holding a sign in English, so I spoke to her, she told me her name was Dorothy. She had no idea about Ralph. She did not ask to look at my ticket, so I must not be on her list. I waited a little longer, as I had a map of Munich, I took myself on the walk. So my 15euros was wasted. Disappointed.

Excellent way to learn about Munich
Apr 2019 • Couples
On the morning of our first full day in Munich we planned to take the English-language City Walk and English Garden Tour that meets in front of the Tourist Information Office on Marienplatz at 10:45. The bad news was that the guide who was supposed to do that tour did not show up. The good news is the company called another one of their English-speaking guides, Noel Byrnes, who was outstanding!! We had to wait about 90 minutes for him to arrive so we simply walked down to the Viktualienmarkt and had lunch while we waited. Just about the time we got back from lunch, Noel was there. It may have been even better to take this energetic walk after eating lunch!

Noel was incredibly knowledgeable and a very enjoyable conversationalist. Seems he took us ALL over the heart of Munich. Our tour took a bit longer than originally planned ...maybe Noel was trying to make up for our having to wait earlier. We can't say enough about Noel. He was terrific, gave us a great overview of the city, both historically and geographically, and at the end, he dropped us of right at the next place we planned to tour, The Residenz Palace.

I can't imagine a better way to start a 5-day visit to Munich than by taking this walking tour at the very beginning of your time in Munich. We highly recommend Munich Walk Tours....and especially our tour guide, Noel Bynes.

Very informative - good intro to Munich
May 2019 • Couples
Our guide, Michael, was a terrific guide with lots of information about past and present Munich. He took his time answering questions and giving us opportunities to enjoy a spot/area. He also gave us great restaurant suggestions!
