Eiffel Tower with Summit at sunset!
Great tour, Very informational and personable. Once we started the ascent, we were on our way independently, but I liked that. We scheduled the tour at sunset and the views after the grueling stairs was incredible!

Patience pays : Genuine guide Joanna
The day started well , but as usual several twists and turns Eiffel tower gates were not open due to bastille day preparation, unannounced changes of opening time from original planned 9-10-11-12 , but the only thing was really calm and welcoming was Joanna’s cool attitude and natural skill of helping and understanding people. She kept on explaining each individual details and history about Eiffel tower . There was a moment came where she really to leave us but then came a good twist , the gates opened , she took us the complete guided tour. I would say by any chance if i come and i have an option , i will blindly go for Joanna. Thanks for making our day a pleasant one.

After queuing for over an hour outside, we were taken inside, only to be told that the lifts were not operating up to the top of the tower.
Security were extremely rude and aggressive confiscating some of our items without any explanation and claiming they could not speak English.
The queues inside were horrendous (my elderly father could not stand in the heat for over 3 hours) at which point we were told by our guide that we could claim a full refund.
We left the venue and sent through an email straight away but were told this was not the case and we would be refunded less than £40 afer paying over £156.
I am in the process of putting in a complaint, as all of this could have been avoided with a little communication and warning prioer to enetering through security where all we saw was scaffolding.

An awful experience all round.....

I am grateful to you for posting your feedback. I am receiving an increased number of complaints from my guests about rudeness at the Eiffel Tower and it is disheartening. As for your refund request, please address in your complaint "Attention Linda". I am the General Manager and I will help you. I hope I will hear from you and have the chance to make this right where the Eiffel Tower could not.

Absolutely brutal. Just buy your ticket at the tower. If you go to the tower website, it looks like they are sold out…but that is just for online tickets. Tickets are available same day walk up for 20 euro. These tours gouge you with highly marked up tickets. With the website telling you the tower is sold out, you think these expensive tours are your only option.

The day of our tour, the tower decided to not open until 11am due to labor disputes…welcome to France. Our tour guide offered refunds which our entire group took advantage of as she said we can just buy the tickets at the window…which we did. However, I only got a refund of $170 (Canadian dollars) when I paid $240 (for 2 people). Our tickets were for the tower and the river cruise. It was our last day in Paris, and due to the late opening, we were late for our lunch reservation (Substance…highly recommended) and thus couldn’t use the cruise tickets. The company told me they can only refund the tower portion and I can use the cruise tickets for one year. I’m not going back to Paris within the next year! So I’m out $70 for nothing. These tours are a scam. In the lineup they show you crappy old photos from a binder and regale you with ‘fun facts’. When you get on the tower, you are in your own…the guide admitted that to us and she encouraged us to take the refund as we had already received most of ‘the tour’ while waiting in line. There was also no garauntee you get up to the summit even if you purchased summit access. So bizarre.

Thank you for this valuable feedback. We do our best to let our guests know there could be a wait time on the line, and we strive to bring value to the experience by enhancing the visit with an expert guide to provide stories and history and also to lead the way through the tower. We sometimes encounter difficult ticket operators at the Eiffel Tower who make our guides' jobs harder in this way you describe. We are always working on ways to improve this process with the Eiffel Tower and it is unfortunate your experience was impacted by the organization at the tower. If you could provide the name of your guide this would be extra helpful so we can find out from them what happened and help them and also we can track down the ticket staff and clear up any issues they are having with discerning age groups. It is frustrating when the Eiffel Tower closes the summit and we do our best to advise about this in our description so at least our guests will know it is possible this could happen. The summit closing is out of our control and if the summit closes you will get your partial refund for that portion. We are always looking for ways to improve our guest experiences and any feedback would be useful and appreciated. Thanks again and we wish you safe travels always! Sergio

Disappointing. This does not come with tickets that the tour guide company purchases ahead of time. You wait for everyone to arrive, get placed into groups with a guide and then stand in line for over 2 hours in the queue for them to pay for your tickets. In the line we received a 15-20 min "facts" on the Eiffel Tower, all while our tour guide seemed to think it was funny to say over and over that he was "tired of the Eiffel Tower and being there". We could have stood in line for tickets for 2.5 hours ourselves, read a summary online for our tour and paid 1/3 of the cost!

Greetings and thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are never happy to hear that our guest is disappointed and we do our best to advise in advance that there could be wait time. Also, the overwhelming number of guests we see review us highly for the value our guides bring to the experience. I am not happy to hear this is not your experience. We will speak with your guide to ensure they're providing a great experience to everyone. Feedback like yours is helpful so we can identify details in our process where we can improve, such as making sure the pre-tour information is as clear as possible. Thanks again for your review and we wish you safe travels always. Ruth.

I highly recommend that you do not waste your time/money here, and simply arrive to the Eiffel Tower early to purchase your own tickets.

My family was in Paris for vacation and we decided we wanted to visit the Eiffel Tower. We had 11 people so were split into two groups. This wasn’t a problem. The problems began when the first group left, and we stood by for about 15 minutes doing nothing. The first group were the front of the line to enter the elevator. My group waited in line for 90 minutes. I want to be clear that the website does advise you may wait long, but I didn’t understand why we were so far behind.

No worries though, because the website said “rest assured that your guide will keep you entertained and provide insightful information about the Eiffel Tower while you wait in line together.” Our guide “Max” had us in line and spoke very little. In fact, he was on his phone most of the time. He told us we would wait in line then go up in the elevator, and that was it. We learned nothing and were provided with absolutely no insight to the Eiffel Tower. We were lucky that the tour guide in the group next to us was very loud and active, because that is where we got our entertainment from.

So after this wait with no interaction from our guide, we were instructed to take the lift up. We go up the lift, and waited at the top, and never saw our guide again. The rest of the time was our self-guided tour. We read the posted information ourselves. Altogether, we paid about €302 ($330 USD) for a family of five. Had we known this is how the experience would be, we would have paid €90 for five €18 tickets.

I contacted the trip company for a refund, or at least a refund on the tour experience. I would have been happy to pay the €18/person, refunding the rest of the experience, but the company offered a credit good for five years. While that is thoughtful, this was a trip for my family who live in three different countries. We came together for a week in Paris and don’t expect to return anytime soon. Therefore, this credit doesn’t do much to help. I am moving forward with my credit card company to work on an actual refund for services not provided.

To sum up, find another tour company, or go to the Eiffel Tower 1 hour before opening to get front of the line tickets.

I would not recommend this tour company. My wife and I purchased an Eiffel Tower tour for 12/9/23 that included a trip to the top/summit of the Tower. Let me preface my comments by saying that our tour guide, Nina, was very nice and welcoming. The weather was terrible the day of our tour. It rained the entirety of our tour and was very cold/windy. Obviously, the tour company cannot control the weather and we understand that! But make sure you read the fine print of your tour details. Despite buying tickets in advance, we still had to wait in line in the rain for an hour with the general public. In fact, our tour guide didn’t even purchase the admission tickets for our tour group until we got to the front of the line (which is the same process for the general public), so I don’t understand the benefit of buying tickets in advance. Prior to getting on the elevator, we were told that the summit was closed due to weather, which was a bummer as we were very much looking forward to that. When we finally got up to the lower/mid part of the Tower, our guide started the tour. However, it was so windy that it was difficult to hear our guide. That, coupled with how cold/rainy it was, made the tour unbearable. As a result, the majority of our tour group stopped the tour within the first couple minutes and went inside to explore on our own. Also, for a paid tour, I think it’s reasonable to expect our tour guide to recite facts/knowledge from memory (or mostly from memory at least). Our guide simply read off pieces of paper that were in a binder, and with a large group, it was hard to even see the facts/pictures on the paper. Due to our rough experience, our tour guide was nice enough to offer us a refund a few days after the tour. On 12/12/23, she emailed us and said the following: “ I just wanted to know if you've all had your money back? Please let me know, if it's not the case, I'll make it necessary.” I responded and thanked her, and let her know that we had not received our refund yet. Our tour guide then provided us with the refund link, which I completed. Customer service reached out to me via email and said that they would not be providing a refund because we still went on the tour. I informed them that the majority (if not all) of our group did not complete the tour due to the reasons outlined above. They emailed me back and again indicated that they would not provide a refund. This is after our own tour guide said she would make a refund “necessary”. I have asked for at least a partial refund for the additional cost we paid to visit the summit of the Tower. It’s not fair that the tour company gets to pocket that money. As of today, still no refund at all. If that changes, I can update my review. The tour itself wasn’t great, but the unprofessional response from the company regarding the refund is what prompted this negative review.

DO NOT BOOK THIS. Horrible experience...we booked this to avoid the long lines at the Eiffel Tower. The only line that we avoided was waiting for security at the first entrance. But instead of waiting in that line, we were waiting in a line for the tour guide service. Total waste of time. We were watching people walk in ahead of us at security while we were just standing in the tour guide line. The Tour guide was also AWFUL. She kept telling us she "knows the management" and that she could help us skip the line to the second security line and elevator. We waiting 2 hours in the sun waiting to get through the second security and the entire time the tour guide didn't tell us anything about the Eiffel Tower. Instead, she talked about her kids and her schooling. We also were such a large group that we were cut off at the elevator to meet the tour guide on the second floor. She didn't wait for us even though she said she would and when we arrived, our group and "tour" was nowhere to be seen. You are better off just booking your own ticket for way less money directly through the Eiffel Tower ticket office

Amber was an excellent guide on a really fun and informative trip. She got us quickly onto the elevator to the second level where she then gave us a history of many of the areas in Paris. She also gave stories about some of the unique features of the tower and also some of the people who have interacted with the tower (including the woman who "married" the tower and the person who tried to fly off of the tower).
It was a most excellent experience!

This review is a comment on the Paris pass, sold by Go City (see my separate review of this company and pass). With the Explorer pass sold by Go City, this tour is the only available option for Eiffel Tower.
Essentially, you meet the guide 15-30 minutes before. We had Masha, who tried her best under impossible conditions. The guide then leads you through security, after which you will join a 2 hour queue to get tickets. There is NO OPTION for climbing the tower, even if you are able bodied. There is NO SKIP THE LINE. If you buy a Go City Explorer pass, you will wait and wait for the elevator up the Tower.
Masha was excellent, and provided lots of great info. Go City/ Paris pass, on the other hand, are truly awful.

Thanks for this feedback. I am glad to hear you found our guide lovely and informative and found the information interesting and fun. We are never happy to hear that someone did not enjoy their experience with us and I appreciate that you pointed out we do not offer "skip the line" with this experience. Our goal is that the guide will make the occasional wait times worthwhile and I see this is not the case with you. Your feedback is extremely valuable as it helps us identify where we can make improvements, and so I thank you again for this. Nihad.

We bought tickets online to go to Eiffel with my three young children. The prices of the tickets were 4 times more expensive than the official Eiffel tour online shop (they did not have tickets left for our preferred date and time).
We were asked to meet staff members with a yellow hat in front of the entry of the tower. We were there at the time window provided, there was no one with a yellow flag or hat . We checked with the Eiffel staff members looking after the waiting line just near the meeting point, and they said there was no one with yellow stuff.
There were two other customers looking for the same company too at the same location. We both went through the security check with the hope that your the guides would be inside. They were not there either. We called the French phone number provided in the reservation, but no one answered. We went back again after wasting 1 hour with three children.
We waited for the line to buy new tickets from the official counter and bought new tickets (see attached the picture).
We wanted our money back but no answer...this is clearly a tourist scam. Get your tickets from the official Eiffel Tour website, if there is no availability online, go to the Eifel Tower itself, apparently they always have tickets available there, much cheaper and safe...

We had a brilliant morning visiting this iconic landmark despite having to wait 90 mins at the base with a gale of wind blowing as some technical issues were worked out.
Our guide Souhib made the trip. He kept us amused and informed while we waited.
His English was fluent and he was a mine of information not just about the Eiffel Tower itself but the whole of the city.
He gave us great tips on other “ off the beaten path “ places to visit which allowed us to experience a little of the “real “ Paris during our visit.
We would highly recommend this tour especially if ur lucky enough to get Souhib as ur guide. His passion for Paris was infectious.
