If you love art, the history of art, and the colorful world of the Impressionists, this private guided tour of the Musée d’Orsay is for you. Besides skip-the-line access, enjoy a visit that’s tailored to your interests. If you’re a first-time visitor, your guide might focus on the highlights; returning art-lovers can delve deeper into the collection’s many masterworks. Tour is available in English, French, and Italian.

What to Expect

Greet your guide outside the Musée d’Orsay and skip the line to enter. You can customize your tour to suit your interests, but a typical visit begins with the history of the Musée d’Orsay, including how an abandoned station became one of Paris’ leading museums.

Next, learn about realism, impressionism, post-impressionism, and art nouveau styles. See masterpieces like Monet’s Blue Water Lilies, Van Gogh’s Starry Night, and Renoir’s Montmartre. Discover the lives and work of Gauguin, Toulouse-Lautrec, Millet, Manet, Ingres, Degas, Rodin, and Delacroix.

Once your tour is finished, you may continue exploring independently.

We spent a good hour and a half revisiting areas we enjoyed to take pictures. The tour is so riveting you don’t want to interrupt the flow of information.
