Dublin Northside Walking Tour

Overview

Learn about Dublin’s turbulent history with this walking tour on the city’s Northside. Limited to 10 people, this intimate tour offers personalized attention from your guide as you stroll to see top landmarks including the Ha’Penny Bridge and the Great Irish Famine Memorial.

What to Expect

Meet your guide at Bernado Square, next to Dublin’s City Hall. Before setting out on this walking tour, the guide introduces Dublin’s turbulent history and landmarks on the Northside.

Cross the famous Ha’Penny Bridge and visit the Moore Street Terraces, an important site in the 1916 Rebellion, and hear stories about the violent events that took place there.

During a stroll along the cobbled streets, your guide points out two beautiful examples of Neoclassical architecture: the Custom House and Liberty Hall. The tour continues with a visit to the Great Irish Famine Memorial and the Jeanie Johnson Tall Ship, commemorating the 80 million people that left Ireland due to hardship.

The tour finishes in a central Dublin location for continued independent exploration.
