North Coast and Malahide Castle Day Tour from Dublin
US$29,72
Overview

Combine visits to the seaside village of Howth and Malahide Castle on this half-day tour from Dublin and skip the hassle of renting a car. Hear commentary on the castle's 800-year history from your guide, and head to charming Howth to explore coastal scenery. Take advantage of the included hop-on hop-off Dublin bus tour, Little Museum of Dublin entrance, and Dublin walking tour upon return to the city.

What to Expect

Depart Dublin on a double-decker bus with wraparound windows, giving the best possible views of the scenery on the way to Malahide Castle.

Head for the North Coastal area of Clontarf, passing Bull Island on the way to Malahide Castle. With included entry, you walk right in and embark on a guided tour. Listening to a commentary during the tour allows you to learn much more about the 800 years of history than you would exploring on your own.

After the tour, head for the quaint fishing village of Howth, where you have time to look around independently. This combination of guided and free time portions of the tour appeals to a variety of travelers.

Aboard the bus, travel back to Dublin, where you can choose to participate in a hop-on hop-off tour, a walking tour, and admission to the Little Museum of Dublin, all included.

Great narratives

I enjoyed Daves safe driving and Jerry's lively commentary on the drive. Inside the castle our narrator was excellent. What a gentleman and shared lots of information. I wish I had his name to share but here is his picture.

Good Castle visit.

This was just an OK trip. The bus is a hop on/off type not a coach and not particularly comfortable. The day was a bit rushed, did a tour of the castle which was good but would have like more time there to see the...More

To imagine

We took a tour out of Dublin out to Malahide Castle which was supported with a guided tour of the Castle itself. To hear that this place was occupied by one family for 800 years is amazing. Follow this with the story of not only...More
