Overview

Journey into the Scottish Highlands—famed for their picturesque hills, many lakes, and centuries of history—and then onwards to the Isle of Skye on this 3-day tour from Edinburgh. A small group size makes this a personal way to discover, and with round-trip transit from London via luxury coach, you can focus on admiring the scenery instead of navigating your own way through the countryside.

What to Expect

This 3-day adventure in the Scottish Highlands begins when you meet your guide at a convenient location in Edinburgh and set off via luxurious Mercedes coach. With only a small group of fellow travelers for company, you’ll enjoy a personal discovery tour of the area’s unique landscapes and rich history.

During the first day, make your way up to Portree, the Isle of Skye’s largest town. En route, you’ll see the historic city of Stirling, Ben Nevis (Britain’s highest peak), and the hills and waterfalls of Glencoe. Enjoy time at your leisure to explore Portree in the evening before a night at a B&B or 3-star hotel—whatever your preference.

On the second day, embark on a fully guided tour of the Isle of Skye’s highlights. Depending on the weather, visit the 13th-century Dunvegan Castle, the rugged rock formations of Quiraing, or the sea cliffs at Neist Point, among other destinations.

After a second night in Portree, you’ll slowly make your way back to Edinburgh on the third day, with plenty of sightseeing opportunities as you go. Pause at Loch Ness to see if you can spot Nessie (its sea monster), and admire the wild Grampian Mountains. The tour ends in the early evening, upon your return to Edinburgh.

The best small group tour I’ve done!!!

Went into the tour not really sure what to expect but the trip exceeded all my expectations. The van was super comfortable (although 3 people did cancel last minute) which gave us a little more room on the van. It may have felt a bit...More

Highlight of our European trip

The 3 Day Isle of Skye tour was fantastic. It was great being in such a small group, rather than a big tour. Our guide Roland was fantastic. Of course, you can never stop at everything when you only have three days. But I don't...More

Memorable tour of the Highlands with Ross!

We got to see the idyllic beauty of the Scottish highlands on this short but well-organized tour. Ours was a 13-seater Mercedes-Benz coach with comfortable seats, ample legroom and sufficient luggage-space at the back. The journey started on time at 8:30 AM from Edinburgh. It's...More

Excellent tour and excellent guide, Andy D.

This was a great tour, we loved Portree and all the sights, including Loch Ness and many others. Our guide Andy D. was excellent, personable, didn't talk too much but just enough, and was knowledgeable and friendly. We highly recommend this tour and this company.

Sharon, our guide, was a great driver, historian, and a wonderful story teller.

We had a great tour or the Highlands and Skye with our guide, Sharon. Our tour departed as scheduled, and our driver made me feel safe on single track roads with passing points, and she explained the history and the sites with stories and information,...More

Hi Halleva, agreed with Freddy, due to the unpredictability of the weather and the traffic. It is highly unlikely that each tour has the same itinerary. If I got it right from our tour guide last time, each tour guide is... More

The first day was the drive up to Skye and we made stops along the way: Glencoe, Fort William, Eilean Donan Castle, Invergarry, arriving at Skye late afternoon. Next day we drove all day around Skye with many interesting... More
