Overview

Walk inside Stonehenge, an exclusive experience available only to your group, on this day trip from London. Choose a morning or evening tour and be one of a rare few to see the UNESCO World Heritage Site from inside its inner circle. Everything is planned: Dine at a 14th-century pub in the medieval village of Lacock (own expense), and enjoy both free and guided time in the historic city of Bath—with a visit to Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths included.

What to Expect

On the morning tour, you’ll depart central London by coach and travel to Stonehenge. Unlike those who arrive at the site during main hours, your group can enter the roped-off circle of stones. Learn about facts and mysteries surrounding this UNESCO-listed site from your guide, before continuing to Lacock.

Take a guided walk around the 13th-century village of Lacock and see locations in films such as Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Enjoy breakfast (own expense) at The George Inn, Lacock’s 14th-century pub, before the coach continues to Bath, famous for its Georgian architecture.

Tour the Roman Baths, built over natural hot springs, and visit Bath Abbey. Follow your guide to see where Charles Dickens once lived and enjoy a local cheese tasting. Alternatively, enjoy some free time to shop and explore Bath on your own. Drop-off is in central London.

The evening tour stops at the same sights, but in a different order, starting with the Roman Baths, then driving to Lacock, having dinner, and finishing with a private sunset view of Stonehenge.

We traveled with our 16 yo daughter who also thought this was the highlight of the trip. If that doesn't let you know how wonderful this was, I don't know what else could sell you! We chose the sunset version of the tour. Pick up...More

on my must do list

Did early morning trip; everything went well, cold, foggy, but no rain. Bath was nice, but crowded in the middle of the day. I might have preferred skipping Lacock and going to Bath for breakfast/lunch with a more time there as there would probably be...More

Great trip

Lacock visit was too late in the evening to see anything at all, but Bath and Stonehenge were fantastic. Bucket list item done.

A fun day

The coach was comfortable and the guide funny and informative. The day trip was everything we had hoped it would be. We too the later tour, but at this time of year meant that Lacock was dark when we got there, but the dinner was...More

I think that the estimated total time of the tour is listed in the tour package description (we booked it on Viator, fyi), but our day began around 5am (that was roughly when we had to meet at another central London hotel... More

Bath is about 2 hours. I don’t know if you could schedule something though because of timing of arrival being variable. The pub is online and they have a menu.
