Overview
Visiting Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and Oxford in a day from London is difficult to pull off independently, even with a rental car. This tour makes it hassle-free, so you can just admire the sights and scenery while someone else drives. An air-conditioned coach whisks you between the sights with guided commentary, plus you get an Oxford walking tour and the option to include admission tickets to Windsor Castle and Stonehenge or to explore their surroundings independently.
What to Expect
Board an air-conditioned coach in central London and travel to Windsor Castle, an official residence of Queen Elizabeth II.

Here, show your pre-booked ticket or pay for entry (depending on selected option) and view the State Apartments, St. George’s Chapel, and grounds. Listen to audio-commentary and watch the Changing of the Guard if it coincides with your visit. Alternatively, choose to stroll around Windsor’s cobbled streets, browsing its shops and old-world buildings.

Next, admire the views en route to Salisbury Plain, home of UNESCO-listed Stonehenge. View and take photographs of the ancient stone circle from a distance; use your pre-purchased ticket; or pay the admission (depending on selected option) to take a close-up, audio-guided tour and explore the visitor center.

Finally, visit Oxford, famous for Britain’s oldest university. Enjoy a walking tour to discover its sights and history before ending your tour at the original departure point in London.

Excellent day tour with our tour guide-- Oliver Simmons

My parents, children, husband, and I had a marvelous time seeing Stonehenge up close (VIP access), an informative walk around Oxford, and a chance to enjoy Windsor Castle through the EvansEvans tour. We cannot praise Oliver and our bus driver Jay enough. We were out...More

Great tour for those with little time.

The tour of Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and Oxford covered a lot in one day. There is no time to dilly dally. I was afraid that a coach tour would mean that I would be shepherded from place to place with long waits for people. However,...More

We had a great day with this tour by GoldenTours. Our guide, I think it was Mathew or some name like that, who brought relevant information in a witty and animated way. Besides tour information he also provided other assistance for first journey tourists. Unfortunately,...More

The tour takes a whole day, for me and my friend we started at 9am and we were supposed to be back around 6 or 7pm. But there had been än accident so we were not back in London until 8pm.
