Definitely book afternoon tea!
My mum and I booked an afternoon tea river cruise. There was quite a lot of people on the trip, in fact the boat was full and I was dreading if it was going to feel like a ‘conveyor belt’. I was very wrong.

After being seated we were offered the choice to purchase alcohol with our afternoon tea. We were then served a selection of sandwiches, small cakes and scones. Tea and coffee was unlimited from the moment the food was served.

I have to say this is one of the best afternoon teas I have had. We had a selection of small desserts which I much prefer than larger ones. We had around 4 cakes each! All of them lovely!

When the boat is travelling back there is commentary about the tourist sites. I found this very entertaining and informative. I certainly would love to book this afternoon tea again when returning to London. Would definitely recommend! Xx

Afternoon tea
This trip was brilliant , the captain decided to do a live commentary instead of the recorded one and you can definitely tell the difference , some real knowledge over the speakers and very well presented , staff are very kind and helpful on your arrival and the speed of service is very good , however you do feel as off tho the staff are very pushy towards clearing your table ready to set up for next departure, on ours they had removed the cake stands by half way through

This was a real treat! The food was excellent: lovely sandwiches, cakes and scones with cream. A lot for two. The commentary was informative and fun too. Service could not be faulted. I definitely recommend.

SPOILED BY POOR SERVICE
I find it very hard to believe in these covid aware times that we were expected to share a table with another couple. We are both high risk and this was completely unacceptable. The staff were unprepared for our refusal and the manager was at first inflexible. They eventually sorted it out but only after we made a fuss. Rather spoilt the occasion.
Our waiter was unfamiliar with the menu insisting the drinks we ordered were unavailable when other people were being served them.
We waited an absolute age for hot drinks to be served then practically had to hang onto our afternoon tea as they were in such a rush to clear the table.
The sightseeing commentary was so muffled on the lower deck we couldn’t understand it though it was fine upstairs.
They had no idea which bill was ours and offered us 3 different ones before we got the right one.
That said the food was plentiful and nice. Overall we enjoyed the experience.

Pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon
The afternoon tea was good quality. Nice, fresh sandwiches, good variety of small cakes/macaroons. Scones were ok. One pot of clotted cream between two wasn't really enough. Bar service was prompt. Somewhat difficult to hear the guided tour when seated inside. A little hot inside as it was a warm afternoon. Was nice to go to the top deck for the last ten minutes or so.

Best introduction to London's sights and afternoon tea
Aug 2021
It was a fantastic experience, me and my aunt went on the cruise; it had amazing service, the food was both delicious and filling in a good way, the drinks where lovely and it was a great way to see the sights of London. (at that time Big Ben was being repaired but never mind these things happen)

I think this is an amazing introduction to London's sights and afternoon tea, for people who come aboard to London for holiday and for people who live in Britain and want to have a holiday or a day out in London.

I would definitely come again

Perfect Way to View London!
Aug 2021
I booked this as a treat for my Mum and I and we were thoroughly impressed!
I don't drink tea or coffee; but the waitress managed to serve me a few cups of hot chocolate; which was much appreciated!
The food was yummy and the onboard commentary was both informative and funny! Would definitely book again!

Cruise with Afternoon tea.
Jul 2021
We arrived at the allotted time. We boarded and were shown to our table.
The afternoon tea arrived with plenty of tea available.
We can honestly say it was one of the best afternoon teas we have ever had.
The boat was very clean and the crew were very well presented and helpful.

If we go to the the city again we would certainly book another cruise.

Relaxing way to sightsee
The cruise was pretty much full and we set off slightly late, nice crew, lovely Afternoon tea, however, we were sat on the tables for two on the righthand side and we were consistently the very last to be served, it was meant to be unlimited hot drinks but we got two during the hour and a half cruise. Middle tables were topped up 4 times. I’d finished my 1st cup well before the food arrived and had to wait a good 15 minutes after it did for my next one.
Because it was so busy, it was hard to hear the commentary over the noise but it was nice just to watch London drifting past.
I used a discount voucher and it was good value for money.
