Overview
Find yourself in the world of Downton Abbey during this 9-hour tour from central London. With your guide in the lead, sharing anecdotes and behind-the-scenes information, stop first in the village of Bampton, used as the Downton village setting. At Highclere Castle, spend three hours on a self-guided tour of the rooms used for most of the hit show's filming. Entrance fees included.
What to Expect
Meet your guide and coach at the Gloucester Road tube station, London, 10 minutes prior to your tour's departure time. Tour start time varies, please select when booking.
With your fellow Downton Abbey fans, board the bus and listen to your guide's commentary about the show's making and behind-the-scenes facts. Watch the scenery out the window as you journey through Oxfordshire to the village of Bampton, which stands in as Downton Village in the show. See familiar sights such as Matthew's house, the post office, and the church during a guided walking tour.
Back on the bus, head for Highclere Castle, where you will be provided with a self-guide leaflet to inform you during your three hours of free time. There are places to buy lunch and souvenirs at the castle.
Return to central London for drop-off at the end of the day.

We're very sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy the Downton Abbey tour, however we are confused by your review. You booked onto a Downton Abbey coach tour that visits the key filming locations in the series, namely Bamptonm which was used as Downton village...More

The tour was by far the best I've taken all my life. The only tour I had no problems at all, Louise and Dewie were great, really funny and informative. During the walk through the village, they'd show us pictures of the show so we...More
