Kayaking - moments that take your breath away!
Fantastic experience once again! You don't need to think twice about considering this. Tracey is an excellent guide. I'm going to miss Cape Town on the water. And by the way, LOVE the new T-shirt logos!

      Shocking
Tracy, the co-owner, is one of the rudest people I have ever met! Humiliating yourself like that in public. Want to run a successful business, Tracy? You don't treat paying customers like that. Ridiculous and embarrassing. She seems to be the common complaint in these negative reviews.

A beautiful sunset session with super-exciting encounters with sea life.
Absolutely wonderful session with great welcome, clear and friendly preparation and support, and the best trip possible on a calm and beautiful evening with dive-fishing birds, a stray penguin from Robben Island, and LOADS of seals and dolphins fishing and playing all around us. (I never realised seals do complicated water gymnastics for fun, too!) So even if there had been none of these, it would have been a beautiful trip along the coast in lovely conditions. But with all the animals it was a complete delight and utterly memorable. My photography was disappointing but Trace's album of photos which arrived really promptly afterwards more than made up for this. I can't recommend this adventure highly enough, and you don't have to be experienced at paddling at all, I've only done it a handful of times over the years and I found that the 2 hour trip s just the right length to feel immersed in being out in the sea without becoming over-tired. Highly recommended!

What could have been a great day
I am truly displeased with the service that I received when I went kayaking with Cape Kayak Adventures. If you are going to advertise kayaking for beginners, don’t! My friends and I were beginners and they did not treat us properly. Guides are supposed to help you and not get irritated and annoyed. Our kayak was going in the wrong direction and went into the rocks and they kept telling us to reverse the Kayak but how are we meant to do that if we don’t know how to kayak. In the beginning before we went out on the water, the guide showed us what to do in two minutes. Then our left padel wasn’t working and the boat was going in the wrong direction to the group. The guide came to us, connected a rope with our boat to his. We thought we were going to the group but no, we went back to the beach front, he did not even tell us what is happening. Why couldn’t he just keep his boat connected to ours and then go to the rest of the group. It was so unfortunate and he blamed it on the bad weather. But how can it be bad weather when there are other people out there. As we returned to shore there was another boat leaving out as their foot padel also wasn’t working so they got a new boat and went out again. How unfair. Plus they got to see dolphins, according to their Instagram story that day. I’m very upset by the way they treated us. I’ve tried paragliding, surfing, scuba diving and zip lining and all the guides and instructors were super friendly and helped a lot for beginners, but these people are not like that at all! They care more about their boat more than you. At least they refunded us so we didn’t waste our money!

While the sun dips into the sea at sunset
What a great experience. Calm waters, spectacular views of the mountains with a beautiful sunset over the sea, seals playing in the water, a whale blowing in the distance and a flash of dolphins. Our guide was exceptional and took very good care of us. Knowledgeable and friendly. The shop facilities were clean and hygienic. The delivery of pictures were instant. Strongly recommended. Will definitely back soon!

      Amazing experience!
My husband and I enjoyed a fantastic experience with Kaskazi Kayaks! After an entertaining but informative safety briefing, we we paddled out into calm waters. Within a few minutes we were at ease with manoeuvering our tandem kayak and started enjoying the fresh air and beautiful view of the city and the sea. We spotted dolphins and a sunfish on our trip. Our experienced guides, Billy and Tracey, were always close by to chat with - they shared informative facts and they are lots of fun! They also took some great photos of us so we could have a record of our adventure. We highly recommend this activity!

      Highlight of a lifetime
What an experience! We were fortunate to have a perfect evening with the sea being almost flat with only light swells at times. But we saw so many whales! At times we didn’t know which direction to look, They were all around us. It was an experience of a lifetime and one I would highly recommend. Trace was so friendly and explained everything so well. We felt reassured in the hands of our great guides, Duelle and Dave too. Thanks for an absolute treat!

      Breathtaking trip!
I did the 06h30 trip this morning and it was beyond beautiful. Being on the ocean, seeing some dolphins is truly a gorgeous and worthwhile start to the day. Thank you to Billy for being the coolest tour guide ever, and for keeping me calm when I felt nervous! I definitely recommend this to all of you!

Firstly, the communication and sincerity from the Kaskazi team, helped us a lot during the process, this made it easy for us to trust them to take us into the ocean for the first time.

The guides were super friendly people, on and off-shore. They were always checking and watching to make sure we were ok and always letting us know where to look for dolphins, whales, and seals!

Although the weather condition was overcast, we enjoyed the experience in the ocean.

We're definitely going back when the suns out!

We were lucky enough to be able to kayak through a pod of dolphins with the beautiful backdrop of Table Mountain - one of the best experiences of our lives. Even without the dolphin or seal sightings, it would still be amazing. I would, however, recommend checking the weather forecast before booking (especially for wind).

Really enjoyed it! My friend and I had booked a Kajak tour for the morning which had to be cancelled due to bad weather conditions - but safety first. However, they allowed us to go on tour a few hours later and we were so glad that we went on that trip. We spotted so many dolphins. Great experience! Also the guides were very nice and competent. They gave all the safety instructions, took pictures for us during the tour which were available online right after the tour, and always tried to lead us to the dolphins.

We had an amazing sea kayaking trip with the Kaskazi team. Our original trip was booked for a few days ago but sadly the wind was too strong and the trip had to be cancelled. Throughout the process of our original booking, the cancellation and rescheduling, we were communicated to clearly at all times. Cape Town is SUCH a beautiful place and we spent our time on the sea with dolphins (2 types!), sunfish, seals and not to forget the friendly guides who made the morning such fun ensuring we were safe at all times. DEFINITELY worth it.

What a brilliant way to start your day.
Great service provided by the 3 guides, very attentive and ensured that everyone was happy throughout.
We went on the 9:30 trip on a beautiful wind still Cape Town day. Saw 2 whales, 1 of which put on an impressive display for us.

Can’t wait to do this again with friends.

We had an amazing trip and all was perfect from the start Our guides; Billy and John were friendly, professional and answered all our questions with enthusiasm. We were lucky to have perfect conditions in the morning and even saw some wildlife; dolphins and sea otters. This is a highly recommended activity for anyone who visits Cape Town.

Thx to our excellent guides John, Deidre and Josh, who shepherded our family group of 5 adults and 5 children safely and expertly out from 3 Anchor Bay along the coastline passed the Green Point stadium.
It was a big effort for some of the group but worth the challenge when we were surrounded by feeding and then playing dusky dolphins. And on the way back we encountered a sun fish. Brilliant.

The coastal views were beautiful and we were exceptionally lucky with the sea and weather conditions. This trip was worth the effort and gave a great sense of achievement. Even with a couple of our boats needing a tow. Everyone is different but I think 8 years is as young as you want to go and make sure they are happy on the water.

You can't take it for granted when you are floating on the water enjoying the views and spotting dolphins. We capsized and their confidence in handling the whole situation made it such a great experience. Thank You Nonto for the 5 stars, we are so pleased you felt safe despite the unplanned ocean swim! If only the dolphins were closer we could make the tour shorter, but hope you got to see some wildlife in exchange for tired muscles. Hope to see you back someday for a shorter trip perhaps!
