Overview
Experience the beauty of Banff National Park in the winter from the comfort of a coach. You won’t believe the pictures you can snap as you discover the Rocky Mountain park under the cover of snow. Frozen waterfalls, ice on a mountain lake, hardy Canadian wildlife, and a castle in the snow are all waiting to reveal their icy beauty to you.
Highlights
  • Visit some of the most popular Alberta Rocky Mountain spots in the winter
  • Local guides know the best viewpoints and places to spot wildlife
  • Let an experienced driver navigate the winter mountain roads
  • Finish the tour with free hot chocolate and a light snack
What to Expect
The winter sun rise in Banff National Park is the perfect time to see wildlife and set out on a wildlife tour. Head out on an adventure to spot elk, deer, and bighorn sheep. Along the way, stop at Bow Falls, Lake Minnewanka, the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel called the “castle in the Rockies,” hoodoos, and Bow Valley lookout. Learn about the history and geology of the area, as well as the special adaptations the mountain animals have made to survive life in the tough Canadian winters. Finish the tour with a cup of hot chocolate and a light snack and drop-off at your original meeting point.

A very easy and knowledgeable tour for anyone with limited time looking to see some great spots and learn about Banff. Our guide, while new, was very informative and a great storyteller.

Hi Alison, Thank you for sharing your experience on the Discover Banff & Its Wildlife Tour with Nicole. We agree, this is a great introduction to Banff (especially if you don't have your own vehicle!) as you get to see some of the main sightseeing spots in Banff all in the space of a few hours - as well as hear some interesting stories of Banff and its history. We never know what animals we may be lucky to see on this tour (although often deer and elk!) and we're glad to hear you still enjoyed the morning with us, even if the local wildlife were being elusive. We hope to see you back in Banff.
