Mayan Inland Expedition from Tulum: Punta Laguna and Coba Ruins
From US$130,00
Overview
Punta Laguna Nature Reserve and the Mayan ruins of Coba lie roughly an hour inland from Tulum. With this tour, let a guide and driver take care of logistics, and take a guided tour of the both protected areas. This leaves you time and energy for zip-lining, canoeing, hiking, and biking.
What to Expect
Your morning starts with pickup from your Tulum or Playa del Carmen hotel. After a roughly one-hour drive, make your first stop at Punta Laguna Nature Reserve.

Take part in eco-tourism activities designed to preserve the local culture and ecosystem. Hike through the jungle, try the zip-line over a lagoon, ride a canoe, and visit a cenote. Your guide tells you about the local biodiversity and wildlife protection efforts.

Then, head to the ancient Mayan ruins of Coba, which was once one of the largest pre-Hispanic settlements in the northern Yucatan. Your tour takes you to see five main architectural groupings, climb to the top of Nohoch Mul Temple, and more.

After a day of exploration, your tour heads back to Tulum or Playa del Carmen and drops you off at your hotel.

Small group made experience Amazing

Our guide Cesar was friendly, knowledgeable, and really gave us an authentic experience of Coba and Punta Laguna. Nothing about the expedition was contrived. Would highly recommend this tour over other larger tour companies or groups.
