      Don't Be Afraid to Try
I was very nervous about this, but it was a breeze to do. You step on a ladder on the pier to go down into the water. As you enter the water, they put the helmet on you and it is NOT heavy. It does NOT close around your neck but instead, has air pumped in through a hose. This air is for your breathing and at the same time, forces the water to stay below the helmet. You breathe naturally and the staff reviews hand signals in advance so you can communicate with them. (Several are in the water with you and one was above, floating and watching us while also observing the air hoses.) When the last person was down the ladder, they confirmed that our ear pressure was fine and that we were ready to go for a little walk. There were oodles of fish right in front of us, but not a large variety. They guided us throughout the walk, took our pictures, pulled out a plastic shark from under a rock for a little humor and made it fun. The time flew by and it was time to go up the ladder and share our very positive experience.

      Dont' book this Sea Trek
This wasn't what was offered. We were in the water for ten minutes when we were promised 30 minutes at least. Entry was uneven on a rock base, nothing was set up in terms of any rails or ropes to follow. Nothing to guide you and nothing to look at. We have been to Xel-Ha as well Aruba both were great experiences. This was unsafe with nothing to see, nothing to guide you and there was nothing to attract the fish. It was the worse ever. They kept us sitting there indicating people were ahead of us when there was no one and no equipment was put out on the dock until just before 12 noon. Part of our group was booked for 10 am and the other noon and we asked if they could take us all at 10 and they told us no indicating there were groups ahead of us. We were the only group of the day. We were sitting right across at the beach and there were no groups ahead of us or behind us. It was a joke. Misrepresentation.

      Very underwhelming
There wasn’t much to see. Very underwhelming. Saw a few fish and they showed us dolphins that were on the other side of some netting, so you could barely see them. It was a neat experience but could’ve been much better had there been more fish or more to see.

Put Your Helmet On and Go Under...
Excellent experience. Book through an excursion company which had great directions and information about the helmet trek. They had lockers to store our items and good information before going under water. The time under water was great. There were two divers with us, one to shoot video and the other giving us the "tour". It was a unique experience for us and went by extremely quickly. There is lots to look at and experience. Was able to arrange purchase of the pictures (40+) and video (1) after returning home. Our experience even included two drinks at the restaurant that Sea Trek is located at. The Taxi station is basically across the street so it was easy to get to and get back from. Had great Mexican customer service. Enjoy the experience!

Unprofessional, cancelled our tour and never told us! Horrible customer service, very disappointed. Such a sad experience for me and my partner.

Unique and a must if you've never been fully underwater
Imanol gave us an amazing trek and very clear instructions to keep us safe, he was also very accommodating: he was supposed to start at 10 AM but we had an activity at 10:20 AM so he started 30 minutes early and gave us the trek at 9:30. The pictures and videos he took of us are great too, this activity was pure joy and a must if you've never been fully underwater.

      Awesome underwater experience
This experience is fun and easy- no previous experience required. We went with our 10 year old. We were all nervous at first, but quickly adjusted to the equipment. You start in a murky little cove, but as soon as you swim out of it the water clears. Jose was great with our son, and went at our pace. You might not see as much wildlife as at the reefs, but the experience of diving makes it well worth the cost. We did see tons of cool fish and small corals.

Must do it once in your life!
We booked this ourselves without going through the cruise line and it was the best decision! We got there early and we were the only ones there and the amazing guides got us into the water quickly. As a result we had the trek to ourselves! And since we came early morning, the dolphins were not occupied with other guest so as a result we could see them too! The staff was great and the guide took some amazing pictures and they were reasonably priced. He even grabbed my go pro from time to time while under water to get us on video! I would recommend this location better than the downtown one as you can head on south to a all inclusive resort much quicker!!

      An amazing experience
Do yourself a favor and go snuba in Cozumel! After a shirt introductory lesson on how the equipment works and what to expect, our guide took us into the water for such and unforgettable experience. The fish here are gorgeous and there were several other surprises for us to see. We saw an eel, hundreds of beautiful fish, and even a lobster. The water here was so clear and the reef has so much to offer.

      Soooo easy !!!
This was way easier than I thought it would be and you can wear prescription glasses in the helmet !! The guides are great, always checking in with you and making sure you're comfortable using hand signals. They feed the small fish around you and there's a neat old plane wreck they brought in too.

      Amazing
Wow! The beauty of the sea for the first time 30 feet under! I’m in love. I was very nervous about this but the staff was so helpful and calming. I had nothing to worry about. It really was as easy as walking. A must try in Cozumel, I would recommend it to anyone

      Great excursion from cruise ship
Took this as a shore excursion with my 17 year old son and 16 year old daughter. They were very well organized and conveniently located. Would definitely again

      Great Excursion!
While on my birthday cruise, we had a stop in Cozumel and decided to do an excursion. We chose Seatrek which was amazing! We booked through the cruise line and the Seatrek staff picked us up at the port terminal. We were the only 2 in the group that day so it made the trip even more amazing since we had extra time in the water. The package also came with an hour of snorkeling but we decided to skip the snorkel option. The Seatrek staff was great and the tickets came with complimentary drinks at the adjacent restaurant! Would definitely recommend this excursion!

      Really interesting!!
I was sort of skeptical of this excursion at first but it was amazing! They paid for round trip taxi fares and chose which taxis to get in to keep us safe. The helmets are very heavy (70 lbs heavy) but they put you in the water, put the helmets on, and immediately tell you to go underwater because as soon as you’re under, you don’t feel much weight at all. I will note that if you’re claustrophobic, be careful of doing this because it is just a small helmet keeping you breathing. We had one person in our group that couldn’t do it because it scared them too much. When you’re under, you get to pet multiple fish, see the ecosystem, and look at the remains of a plane crash. Even though you’re only underwater for 20-25 minutes, you can still rent their snorkel gear and go back out for free. You also get two free drinks from the bar and you can relax on their beach until you want to leave. The DVD with all of your photos/videos on it (the only way to buy the photos they take) is pretty expensive but it was a really neat excursion and we didn’t want to go without the photos. Plus, only 2 hrs long so we could go back to port and eat lunch.

We booked this for one of our excursions while cruising with Royal Caribbean. This was my favorite excursion the whole trip! The tour guides are very helpful and friendly. Equipment looked to be in really good condition. They have several divers in the water with the tour for safety, they take alot of pictures for you and the price for the photo package is really good as well. We got to see a small stingray, starfish and several other colorful fish. And Jeannies restaurant is right there with great food to eat afterwards if you're hungry.

We loved this excursion! However we want to see the pictures from that day. I think we already paid the $45 but no email or link has been sent to our email address. Can someone help? We were there this last Thursday 7/6 coming from the Allure of the seas. Thank you

I paid 65.00 American for pictures and a video, which had very few fish. It’s been 4 hours since we had the video done and they told me 2 hours. I really think that is a way too expensive for a video that lasted 15 minutes. A real rip off.

The trek was set up with interesting artifacts to view in the clear water, Plenty of fish to see as well. They have an urchin that they let everyone hold and one diver went and found an underwater spider to see.
The team members made everone feel at ease and were very professional.
Two complimentary drinks were provided after the dive.

We didn't know the tour was on the other island. When we got there, we had to take a ferry, then it was closed. They accommodated us, we were grateful but for $79 each, we got only about 10 to 20 minutes if so much.

It was a really nice experience but we were ripped off, no fault of theirs, but more could have been said. We then paid an extra $80 usd for the photos and videos. It was sent to my friend's email. The photos loaded but not the video. I reached out to the owner, still haven't gotten a response for them to resend the video to us since August 29th.. We are still awaiting the video or a partial refund of our $80 usd.

Nevertheless it was breathtaking for the minimum time we got.

Fun experience, especially since I don't dive. The weight of the helmet wasn't an issue, weightless under the water. The staff was great. They took tons of photos of us. Too many. I would have liked to have seen more fish. The fish really came up when they released food at the end.

Enjoyed the experience very much. My partner was sick and couldn't participate, so he waited while I did the trek. The heavy helmet was almost weightless under water. Breathing was natural, no different than on land. Guides spend a lot of time getting pictures (to sell you), but they also get the fish to swim around you (so pictures can be taken -- lol). When the fish food is put in your hand, the fish bite (it surprises more than hurts). Only negative comment is the lack of enthusiasm by the employees, their flatline personalities. Solid recommendation.

I’ve been calling them since 8am and never once did I get an answer. It’s now 12:08 and I’m having a very rude encounter with the trip operator for him to tell me it’s cancelled and to call trip advisor for my refund was even worse. How did you cancel and not once contact me! Unprofessional and just plain rude. I’ve been looking forward to this excursion for months. It’s sad how they treat their customers. I truly wanted to experience their excursion but clearly they don’t care about their customers. Didn’t apologize or try to fix it at all. Truly disappointing.

Hello and I'm sorry to hear that you missed out on our Sea Trek Experience in Cozumel. Unfortunately water activities get cancelled by the Port Authority without prior warning as soon as they deem water entry unsafe. This is for the safety of all our visitors. If you came by cruise ship, the cruise line should have mentioned this since it affects every water activity one the island. I understand how disappointing this may be. Sea Trek is often the highlight of many vacations; but please do not take it out on our staff, they do not control the weather. Sincerely, Steven L

I’m glad I tried this, as I was apprehensive because I am a bit claustrophobic and anxiety can kick in real fast. It went better than I thought. If you are asthmatic and use an inhaler- may be an issue. They do take very good care of you and 4 divers are with you at all times and checking in with you regularly. If you are thinking you will see turtles, stingrays and a large variety of tropical fish, not happening. They have a plastic water bottle of food that they feed a small swarm of fish in front of you with while they take pics. You have a rope that you hold onto and follow around. It was quite rough when we were making our way back up the steps when o I got back to the surface. Don’t panic, you’ll make it out alive!! Lol
They have lockers, a souvenir shop. You can wait and see your pics and video before leaving. Staff was friendly. The ladies got a complimentary bracelet from shells they make.

We booked as an adventure while our cruise ship was in port. For anyone who has never been a diver or just did some basic snorkeling, it is a great time. You see lots of fish (they'll bring some food for you to feed them), and you go down to about 35'. The restaurant next to it has good food and you do get a couple of free drinks along with the trek underwater.
