Discover Mexico City’s ancient history on a private tour of Tlatelolco, the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe (Basilica de Guadalupe), and Teotihuacan. Convenient transport from your hotel ensures you avoid the hassle of navigating public transit on your own. At Teotihuacan, your guide explains unmarked points of interest and gives context to the ancient city. Unlike most large and impersonal day tours, enjoy your guide’s full and undivided attention.
What to Expect

Avoid the stress of navigating public transit on your own with a morning pickup from your hotel. Unlike most large and crowded day tours, enjoy a guide’s undivided attention for questions and conversation.

The first stop on the tour are the Aztec ruins in the center of downtown Mexico City. At the nearby Basilica de Guadalupe, your guide explains the importance of Guadalupe to Mexican history and culture.

At Teotihuacan, the ancient “City of the Gods,” a guide is essential to provide context to the unmarked ruins and pyramids. As your guide explains each landmark you pass, learn about the mystery of who may have built the ancient city and why its population suddenly disappeared. Climb the Sun Pyramid for panoramic views of the surrounding highlands.

Cap off the tour with lunch at a traditional eatery, before parting ways with your guide on arrival at your Mexico City hotel.

Simply a wonderful experience!

First a warning, this is a full-day tour (9am-6pm) and there is a fair amount of walking, climbing steep steps and general you-should-be-in-an-OK-shape kind of sightseeing. That being said, the experience is magnificent. Our guide Carlos and the driver (Anna?) were wonderful. Carlos, a former...More

A guide who turns a load of stones into a living city

I do not hesitate to recommend this tour....even for people, like myself, who don't really see the appeal in walking around a hot, stoney site. We were picked up by Luis and Brenda. Luis was our driver and negotiated the often frenzied traffic of Mexico...More

We spent a wonderful day with Carlos and Ana. They arrived on time and spent the day enlightening us about the early history of Mexico City and Teotihuacan, construction techniques, cathedral symbolisms, and the history and significance of the Guadalupe Basilica. Carlos was excellent in...More
