What to Expect

Meet your guide and group at a convenient downtown restaurant to begin your crash course in Mexico's food and culture. Your gastronomic adventure will take you from pre-Hispanic food to contemporary Mexican cuisine in a half-day stroll through Mexico City’s 700-year-old historic center. You’ll experience the city’s Aztec market, explore its street food and drink in one of its traditional cantinas.

Along the way, your guide will share the legends of this vibrant metropolis, helping you to travel through time as you sample sweets at one the oldest candy stores in the city, explore the bounty of Mexican cheeses and meats, taste traditional Oaxacan cooking and delight in the country’s edible flowers and organic produce.

Wonderful Food Tour, really fun

We had a great time! It was a very fun afternoon doing this food tour. Our tour guide, Katrina, is very knowledgeable and very passionate about her city. Without this tour, we would never know a lot of the Mexican culture and food knowledge.

Not just about food!

We learned so much about the culture and history of Mexico City during this trip. Each stop on the tour explores a different topic. We left with a much better understanding and appreciation for the unique cuisine of Mexico!
