    Amazing Sunset experience
Beautiful experience! Food snacks were delicious. Would have been nicer to sail a bit earlier so there was more than 20 minutes of daylight. Also would have been nice to see dolphins or whales.

    A Perfect Day
This was a perfect day for our group of 5. The Adventure team was well organized and informative, anticipating our questions and escorting us through the day's many adventures. The crew, led by Dante, was charming, attentive and so much fun! They inspired a lot of laughter and a sense of camaraderie. We had a blast snorkeling off the back of the boat and enjoyed a beautiful hike to the waterfall on Yelapa, learning about the indigenous plants and creatures along the way. On Majahuitas, we enjoyed the comfortable sofa seating on the beach and had more fun on the banana boat ride. We even saw a humpback whale on our way back to Puerto Vallarta. The day was a highlight of our vacation and one I will remember with gratitude.

Got a fun story and rode my fist horse!
We had a blast racing in the speedboat across the ocean to Yelapa. It was super tumultuous and we were having fun with that. Jesus was our Captain and Daniel was our guide. The both did a fantastic job keeping us safe and having fun. I rode my first ever horse and he/she was a real gentle gem. It was a pretty nice loop that went through the community and back with the river in the center. We then saw the waterfall right in Yelapa and took a swim and some pictures. The bar there served Racillia which I had to try because I'm a big fan of Tequila and mezcal. It made for a strong and delicious margarita! The kind you stumble after 😄 The snorkeling got canceled due to seasonal red tide which moved into the best spots while we were riding the horses. So that was unfortunate but understandable as Nobody wants to swim in murky waters that are unsafe. so a great call by the crew. Then we had a fantastic time at the beach with the open bar and buffet. There was a mishap with the intense waves filling the earlier boat but the crew swiftly dealt with it so it made for an interesting time. Then we got more time in the speedboat 😀. An excellent experience. This was our 4th time with Vallarta Adventures, and they always deliver a great experience.

Not a luxury Yatch and horrible snorkeling
I personally would not consider that a luxury Yacht. It was a nice catermaran. The snorkeling was very brief and in a decimated bay. The reef was completely bare with few fish. Those that were there were beautiful. Your description of this tour is absolutely false and not worth the money. The other tours I did with Vallarta were great.

    Fun times!
The weather was gloomy for the first part of the adventure, but the water was still warm! The waves were pretty rough on the way to the cove where most of the activities were, but it was still fun! If you like water activities, then this one is for you!

    Fun family friendly trip
I would only recommend the early start time. You get to actually see the sunset and get back at a reasonable hour. The entertainment was good. The food average. The setting was spectacular.

    Nonstop fun at Las Caletas!
This was our third time at Las Caletas and once again, our expectations were exceeded. From planning and booking with Jens Through the Nuevo office to the boat, staff and all the staff on shore the service was amazing. The amenities like clean bathrooms, amazing food and fun activities to animal encounters kept the day exciting. Did some snorkelling and saw lots of beautiful fish. Thank you for another amazing day!

A trip to see Rhythms of the Night
I think to review RotN, you have to break it down into three pieces: the boat ride, the meal, and the show. When you arrive at the Vallarta Adventures base (we were in NV), you check in at the desk. We booked our tickets online on the VA website. It's a great way to save a few bucks, if you're able to schedule in advance. When checking in, we were assessed a $40peso PP "dock fee" in addition to the tickets we bought online. I don' t know what it was for, or if it's always collected. They seem to own all the docks we stopped at, so I don't know who gets the fee… We got our tickets and headed back to their café space, near the docks. We were called aboard based on our ticket number. You can pay extra to have early boarding, so you can choose your seats for the ride. Those who bought preferred boarding got on first. The boat ride The boat was two-levels and open-to-the-air, with bench seating around the perimeter and plastic, stackable chairs set out in the middle of the deck. They're lawn chairs that are in no way mounted to the deck. It's a large boat and probably carried a couple hundred people out, on the night we went. I saw other posts concerned about the number of lifejackets and lifeboats on board. I'm ashamed to admit, I didn't even think about assessing that when we got on. The evening boat ride itself is lovely. For us, it was a relatively clear, warm evening and we got to watch the sun set into the ocean on the horizon. It's surprisingly rocky in the bay and anyone but a seasoning mariner would need to keep at least one hand free to catch themselves from falling, if walking around during the trip. The staff serve pre-mixed drinks, like margaritas, and beer as they circulate through the crowd. It takes 45-60 minutes or so to get to Las Caletas. The meal They serve dinner in two seatings: before and after the show. We were in the early group, and after getting off the boat, we went straight to our table. Dinner is a buffet that includes a salad bar, hot Mexican dishes, and dessert trays of assorted sweets. A server brings drinks and busses plates while you eat. The food is meant to appeal to most people, and therefore is unremarkable, but I enjoyed it and went home full to the top. The show I wasn't sure what to expect, but it's quite a remarkable acrobatic show, set in the local environment and based on local legends. Seating is in a natural amphitheatre on wooden benches that aren't all that comfortable. Spectators are crammed in cheek-to-cheek into the long rows of benches. Before the show starts, make sure to use the washroom so you don't have to go while it's on. The cast did some amazing acrobatic tricks including contortions, trampoline leaps and flips, and fire juggling. Pretty exciting show, I must say! It lasted about an hour, if I had to guess. After the show, the early dinner folks are shepherded to the boats and head back to the VA home base. The second-seating folks are directed to their tables for their dinner. The boat ride home is loud and tinny with music blasting through the PA system on-board. The staff do a little show of their own to entertain the guests for the hour or so boat ride in the dark. Bringing earplugs might be a good precaution, if you're over 30 or under 10. Bring your pesos, even though you've paid for the excursion (and dock fee) already. As with all activities, all staff are keen for tips. Plan to leave a tip for your server at dinner and the boat crew when you disembark. Taxis will be outside VA and waiting to take you home. This is an excursion that you should do at least once. It was fun. Now that we've done it, I think we're good. Next vacation we'll enjoy more of the cultural tours that VA offers.

Best thing we did in Puerto Vallarta!
Best thing we did this trip was Rhythm's of the Night! They take you by boat from the marina to a private island for an amazing show and dinner on the beach. The island is lit up by torches and candles. Just beautiful! The show was fantastic - comedy, beautiful singing and Cirque du Solei! It is a one hour boat ride each way. The shoreline lit up and the moon rising was gorgeous! The captain and crew did a hysterical show for us that we were not expecting on the return. I highly recommend this!

Exciting day! More than you expect.
Boat ride to truck ride to donkey ride. It was adventure just getting there. The truck ride is bumpy but fun. The donkeys are easy to ride up the mountain. You then zipline from mountain to mountain over valleys! The rollercoaster is super fun. The waterfall was cool to climb down. The last thing is a slide that looks like death but its not so bad. I did however sprain my finger on that slide. lol. Just keep your hands tucked in haha. My only complaint is you cant bring your own camera and the purchased ones were not good. I paid 69$ USD for just me.

The best thing about this boat trip was the staff, who work hard to please and gain your tips, but this company Vallarta Adventures is all about getting you cash. It's a huge boat with mega lots of people on board, some even had no place to sit and it was about 100 I think. You have to pay port fees just to board and extra park fees too! You have to go through security like boarding a flight. The snorkling was lass than average, water clarity is not that great. You spend only 45 minutes at the marietas and then go to a small beach on the other side of the bay. The crew does a dance show on the return cruise. I never heard a word about the hidden beach or the blue footed boobies. They told us we would party like rock stars. If that's your dream, go for it! Also a sidenote, two people fainted on our trip from seasickness and one hit her head and was taken to hospital by boat. I saw several people vomiting, so consider your breakfast as well.

We set out early in the morning and within 90 minutes, 80% of the boat was throwing up in the bathroom or over the side. Somehow, my friend and I managed to avoid that (barely). The ocean was rough that day-so if you're prone to sea sickness bring dramamine. Luckily I had some on hand and took some. Anyway-the island itself is beautiful. I was still feeling a little nauseated so I didn't snorkel-but my friend did all the adventures and really enjoyed it. A beautiful island. The crew then took us to Los Caletas and we stayed for about 90 minutes playing on the beach, drinking some cold beer, and taking pictures (they also have photographers who will take some professional ones, and you can purchase them afterwards). The lunch was sub sandwiches and some kind of tuna salad, the breakfast was pastries. The crew kept the drinks coming after the snorkeling was done and there was a small show on the way back. I would definitely recommend it, or at least taking the Los Caletas tour where you can spend more time on the beach. It truly is beautiful.

Pouring rain, choppy water. It seemed like it would be a dismal trip. However, Pablo and his crew made this one of our most fun and memorable excursions ever. Through the wind and rain we witnessed whales tail slapping and breaching. The crew kept us on our toes during the sightings so everyone could see them. Then they took us to a snorkel area and let us go. The water was warmer snorkeling than standing in the cold rain. We had to change course and go to a different location than on our tickets due to weather. However, they didn't disappoint. On the way back Pablo and his crew entertained us with a "Rolling Stones comedy skit." Though we were all cold and shivering we were in great spirits and had a blast. I kept telling everyone that many times in my life I have been cold and many times have had fun. This was the first time I had been bone chilling, teeth chattering cold and having a great time all at once. If it was this fun in extreme conditions I bet it is fantastic on a nice day. If you get Pablo and his crew you are in for a real treat. Also, one member in our group had a medical condition and they were so helpful and kind to her. It was wonderful all around. Any age or physical level is fine. You can choose to stay on the boat if you don't want to do the water activities. Also, an open bar was included on the way back and they kept the drinks flowing. Thumbs way up for this one.

This tour was exceptional. It was a glorious day. The staff was friendly and eager to please, they truly seemed to love their work. Snorkeling was beautiful. Lots of coral and fish. Breakfast, Lunch, drinks and Snacks were good. The captain was terrific at spotting whales and a few sea turtles. The main guide was very knowledgeable. I was very impressed they offered clean individual snorkels for only $5 as a virus protection.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The captain was so great. My girlfriend was not feeling that well seasick. He encouraged her to go up to the hidden beach on the last stage of the tour. I'm so grateful for his patience and kindness. The host of the tour, named Isa, was very involved and cared very much for patrons and crew. Very lively. The other staff were great too. After lunch was served to guests, they were eating lunch and stopped repeatedly to help guests. When I'm working, I usually dont have to be interrupted to help out. They did it flawlessly and didn't complain at all. At the end of the tour, the staff put on a show that was very entertaining. My girlfriend was so happy after the show, she even put in a larger tip than she usually does. Thanks to everyone on boat 4 on Jan 22, 2020!

This tour is totally false advertising. First, there are pictures from the inside of the hidden beach insinuating your entrance during the tour. It isn’t mentioned until you arrive at the tour that you will not be entering the hidden beach. When you ask about the other tour with entrance to the hidden beach you are notified they already left for the day and you’d have to come back another day (and purchase a ticket) to go to the other tour. After you get on the boat it is basically a booze cruise. You spend about 45 minutes at each location of the excursion, so in total only 1.5 hours of the 7 hour excursion is spent on location. After each location they bring out the booze and booze everyone up before they ask for tips and good reviews on trip advisor.

This tour was not compatible with the kind of travel we like to do. If you’re the type of person who likes to go to all-inclusive resorts, likes to drink for the simple fact that it’s free, don’t mind blasting music and sharing the boat with up to 100 semi-drunk vacationers, then you should be fine.

One thing that wasn’t advertised in the tour was this awkward “show” put on by the unfortunate crew where they are dressed up as an 80s hair band rocking out with fake guitars to my most unfavourite songs.

The sand at the private beach was pretty rough; it’s not really sand but small shells.

We saw nice things while snorkelling but would have appreciated some direction about how long we would snorkel and where we should go. We were just told to jump in.

For us, it was so unenjoyable, we didn’t show up for our second excursion.

We 1000% recommend this trip! The snorkeling was perfect for beginners and we saw all types of colorful fish, dolphins, birds, and more. We heard some people complaining that they didn't see anything, but that was because they stayed too close to the boat and didn't pay attention to the crew telling us to swim closer to the rocky shore and reefs, where the fauna hangs out.. The crew was INCREDIBLE, especially Ale and Diego) and the took really good care of us and made us feel welcomed and appreciated (particularly as we are a gay couple). The drinks were flowing, the food was perfect, and the music, boat ride, beaches, and everything else was incredible. Note: Make sure you pay your port tax (about $2 per person) before they call for you to board or you won't be allowed on the dock to get on the boat. It opens a little after 7am and some folks were scrambling because they thought they didn't have to pay because that office wasn't open when they arrived. WRONG! You must have the ticket/receipt from that office to get past security. Take beach towels and sunscreen and a phone protector (you'll have to swim to shore at one of the beaches), and cash for tips. They will provide food, drinks, and water all day, but eat at least a small breakfast (coffee and pastry) before you head to the port. We loved this trip with Vallarta Adventures so much that we booked another one to a different cove and beach as soon as we got back to our condo for a couple of days later and it was even better because the weather was sunny all day (we had some clouds the first day, but the company obviously has no control over that, and the trip was INCREDIBLY FUN in spite of that. Thank you Ale for the awesome pictures!!!

We highly recommend this Vallarta Adventures Mariettas Islands snorkeling tour! There is so much to do over the seven hours of the tour. I listed most of them in the title. We don't drink alcohol, but they had plenty of non alcoholic drinks available for us too. They also served alcohol freely, to the point some people got quite intoxicated. The food was good and plenty to get us by fine. The little trip to a small private beach at Mahuitas was very fun too! That is where you can swim, kayak, paddle board, or get pulled on a tube by a speed boat. The water conditions around the Mariettas Islands were a bit rough for high quality snorkeling, but that isn't their fault. It was still fun, and we got to see some cool fish. They also give you information about the birds and vegetation on these islands, which are a state park in Mexico. Bring a credit card or cash for a snorkel of your own and their picture package. Have fun! We did two of this company's tours, and loved both of them. They also offer a lot of other things we didn't have time to do. Check them out!

The islands were nice, although you cannot get onto them as they are protected. Still the snorkeling was limited to 45 minutes, not the "all day" event the title and description tell of. Oh, it takes about two hours to get to the islands if you leave from Nuevo Vallarta dock as we did.
The captain was very good at indulging our whale-watching desires, with two slight diversions that were well worth the extra time. Saw several, fairly close up.
After the snorkeling, it turned into a party barge. A drinking contest, with the loser doing multiple tequila shots, loud music, and drunk passengers added nothing to the trip for me. Did I have a couple of drinks? Sure. But the whole atmosphere after we returned to tge boat was entirely different.
The "private" beach was nice, but limited in selections. Didnt really need much there, tho. Nice to get out and stretch.
Conclusion:
Not a day of snorkeling, only 45 minutes
Good food, drink, and crew. They worked hard to make it enjoyable.
Beach time was an hour
Whale sightings was worth price of admission, thanks to the captain.
Free drinks and music added nothing but loud and over-served people.

Hi Matt, We are glad to hear that you had the opportunity to watch whales and learn a little bit about them, and that the crew was fun and entertaining. Our team always tries to make all of our experiences enjoyable, but we agree with you, that some passengers with too many cocktails can change the whole atmosphere. We will make sure we share this feedback with our Operations team, to prevent this to happen in the future. Warmest regards and thank you again for your feedback.
