Overview
Visit Everglades National Park's Shark Valley to search for alligators, crocodiles, and other wildlife on a guided tram tour. The open-sided trams give unobstructed views so you can safely see and photograph wildlife. The naturalist tour guides are experts at spotting animals and explaining the fascinating Everglades ecosystem so you're assured a positive experience.
What to Expect
Make your way to Shark Valley in Everglades National Park, where you’ll board an open-sided tram for a guided trip through the Everglades’ sawgrass prairies.
Throughout the tour, the naturalist guides will help spot wildlife and explain the things you see—this is a great chance to ask questions about the Everglades. Halfway through the tram tour, climb to the top of a 45-foot (14-meter) observation tower for views that extend 20 miles (31 kilometers) across the Everglades, which stretch to the horizon in every direction.
The Shark Valley tram tour concludes at the original departure point, close to walking trails, visitor services, and Everglades National Park gift shops.

Must Do!

This was our third tour on the Shark Valley tram. It’s one of our yearly ‘must do’ excursions. Each year is different and we learn new facts every time. Carmen and Richard make a great team- knowledgeable, humorous and engaging. Among the birds were night...More

Fantastic tour - a must-do and open during the government shutdown

Despite the Visitor Center being closed, the tram tour was open. We got a sizable senior discount. The tour takes about two hours or so and had many stops to see birds and alligators, of which there were many. We had an excellent naturalist explaining...More

Great tour!

It was very educational and tons of wildlife to be seen in December. I would definitely recommend it for your first visit into the Everglades to get background on what one is seeing. Sit on the life if you can for best views.

Yes it's inside the park, so you need to pay for Park entry. This is $25 per car as Jim noted above, but worth every penny in my view as you can then go on to Long Pine Key, the Anhinga Trail etc. The tram tour is a... More
