    Really Fun Italian Cooking Course
The Italian cooking course was a lot of fun! Easy to follow and you both got to eat what you made and had enough to take home for later.

Best wine day experience in Cape Town!
Amazing day! This was my fave of all three wine day experiences in Cape Town we had. The views of the location for the braii were stunning. The selection of places for the wine stops was perfect. And our guide was just incredible. Highly recommend!

    Amazing Tour with Amazing Guide!!
I went on this tour with Andile. He was absolutely one of the best tour guides we have ever had. We spoke about not just the history of the bars and neighborhoods that we walked through, but he talked about his experiences in the country and truly gave us a rich experience. He’s extremely funny and an amazing conversationalist. I 100% recommend going on this tour, and knowing they go to different bars every time, I’m making sure to go on this tour again with Andile again the next time I go! 100/10 STARS

    It was a blast!
Very well arranged! Since day one of registration, the process was smooth and Nick was responsive on giving details info about everything in needs. On the day, Thulani was the man! He does it all. Perfect time arrangement without neglecting fun, beautiful spots taken, no hustle queing, informative, and personalize services. Love it!

    Amazing Peninsula Tour!
Absolutely INCREDIBLE Peninsula tour with Andile!! He was knowledgeable, Funny, thoughtful, engaging, educational...had to change things up a bit due to weather. He rolled with it, with humor and a super chill vibe! I’ve worked with the airlines for 40yrs and honestly, this is my all time Fav tour company. I love their philosophy of “conscious travel.” Travel authentically, ethically, sustainably, and we had a great time doing so. Best of luck guys! I hope others will follow your traveling ways! Peace and Love to South Africa❤️

Great way to enjoy the night
Great way to explore Cape Town night life on my first night there. Met some of the funniest people in the group! Of course, the first bar is always just the warm-up My fav is definitely the last one (not because we were drunk or high), but it is really a super chic and enjoyable bar to be Highly recommended, and i will booked them again if i'm back in Cape Town

    Great for Shy People
This was definitely an awesome experience and great for introverts who may be shy to go out on the town alone. The drinks were all interesting and had history behind them and Andile made the experience funny and enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend.

    Great Bar hopping cocktail experience
We did the cocktail bar-hopping experience in Cape Town. This experience was really good. We went to a number of bars that had different characters and a range of Cocktails. This is a recommended experience.

Best Day Trip From Cape Town!! Do This Tour!
Our Cape of Good Hope road trip was SUCH A HIGHLIGHT of our two weeks in South Africa. We had a rough journey to Cape Town which caused us to lose 3 of 4 days in the city. The one day we had left we did this tour and it absolutely saved our Cape Town experience. We could never have done everything this tour accomplished in one day and most importantly Andile and our group brought the vibes and really made it feel like we were on a road trip with friends. It's hard to pick a highlight because every second of the day was so wonderful... Starting with a dirty chai at The Strangers Club, the most aesthetic coffee shop. Colorful bathhouses, shopping in Kalk Bay, seeing sea lions up close and personal, eating delicious fish and chips, seeing penguins of Boulder Beach, the Cape of Good Hope and getting our touristy photo snapped. One of my favorite parts was our picnic lunch and beer tasting where we all talked about some pretty deep topics - the best part of traveling is getting to know other perspectives and we loved how open and willing to talk Andile and the rest of our group were. The Chapman's Peak drive was stunning and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect sunset with gin and tonics. There are so many Cape of Good Hope Tours to choose from and I searched for a long time until I found this one and I gotta say - I think it's the ONLY choice. You do so much, the cost includes everything up front so you're not paying for the tour + tickets to each of the stops along the way, it includes fish and chips, picnic lunch, beer tasting and a cocktail. I mean it's really a no brainier. 10/10 day - I cannot recommend this tour enough and had we had more time in Cape Town I probably would have signed up for every tour that Local Knowledge offered. We felt so well looked after and had the best time! Thanks Andile!!

    The best night life experience!
Wow what a night. My husband surprised me with this fun experience. We are from South Africa, funny enough I'm from Cape Town suburb area, but I've never really gone out to Cape Town city for a night. This was a good and safe way to experience so many fun and interesting places with the most unique type of cocktails. We made friends with the other 2 international guys in our group and we all had a blast. Andile was our host and made our night so much more fun. The different bars we went to were really interesting and very unique. My favorite one was the last one where you needed a password. I highly recommend this experience! We felt safe and were treated like VIP,S

    Lovely day in the wineries
What a wonderful way to spend a day in Cape Town! We visited four different estates and tasted 15 different wines + 2 whole bottles! The traditional Braai was excellent and Andile was always nice and made sure we were comfortable. I recommend this to everyone who wants to spend a relaxing but also fun day enjoying wine and good food :)

    AMAZING experience! Wow! Yoh!
Book. This. Now!! I am not usually someone who likes to do long tours when traveling- and now I can’t imagine how my trip would have been without the experience! Nic, our guide was SO accommodating, kind, knowledgeable, and fun. This was one of the most special experiences I’ve ever had. We were able to see so much of Cape Town with a lovely combination of the “touristy” places mixed with gorgeous hidden gems. Swimming with penguins, beer tasting on a secluded mountain with crashing waves and tidal pool in the background, sunset on a mountain overlooking Hout Bay?! Yes, please. Nic combined his experience with our interests and made it extra special for us. We cannot thank Nic and Local Knowledge enough!!!!

I'm so happy I got to experience the peninsula with Kimmy G! The staff of Local Knowledge are super passionate about sharing their home city with outside visitors. It's amazing how much love they have for Cape Town, and it really shows when you're on tour! Kimmy (our tour guide) put forth a lot of effort to make sure everyone in the group had a great time. I will definitely be booking another tour with Local Knowledge if I ever find myself in Cape Town again :)

The peninsula tour with Local Knowledge was hands down the best day of my Capetown trip. Our group consisted of solo travellers only and our guide Nicole made us feel like we were exploring the peninsula with a group of friends. Everything on this trip was well organised and thought through and never felt rushed. I can't recommend booking with Local Knowledge enough! The G&Ts on the beach at sunset was just the cherry on top of an awesome day.

It is a great tour for someone who has never been to Cape Town or wants to explore the best spots in one day. Lucy did an amazing job showing us her home and getting us to feel the capetonian spirit.

During the 10 hours you get to see plenty of beach, the cape, do food tasting and go shopping for art so there is something for everybody to do.

I did it on my own and I can highly recommend doing it because it also gives you the opportunity to spend a whole day with other likeminded travelers in a great atmosphere and an in awesome place.

My husband and I booked this tour during our trip to Cape Town. We had rainy weather days so unfortunately we’re the only ones booked for the trip. We were given the option to change dates, get a full refund or pay a bit more for a private tour. We chose the private tour since it was our only day there and we had a lovely time with Khanya as our guide. He made the best of the rainy weather improvising as needed and provided great information. This tour while yes more expensive than others you may see on trip advisor includes all the admission fees along the way as well as lunch, snacks and beverages. Definitely worth the price.

Book this! I had such a phenomenal experience. I looked at many peninsula experiences and it can be hard to distinguish between them, but our guide Andile was an exceptionally great host. He made adaptations because of the weather (like very high winds) that made the excursion more comfortable and still felt like I was experiencing everything. There were many little moments (like the beer tasting) that felt personalized and one of a kind. On top of that, the locations we visited were absolutely stunning. Before Andile had even dropped us off I was on Airbnb trying to book another excursion with Local Knowledge. It definitely did feel like a “road trip with friends” and I learned so much about South Africa and Cape Town from Andile at the same time. One of the highlights of my trip. I went in the winter (off season) and totally recommend this as well, as it meant the lines were shorter and the stops were less crowded.

We were recommended this tour by a friend, and it exceeded all of our expectations. Nicole was an incredible guide. She was super knowledgeable, tons of fun, and a great driver. The tour was a great mix of activities. The lunch was absolutely delicious too! I would HIGHLY recommend these tours to anyone going to Cape Town and will definitely go on one again next time I'm in town.

I had a great time on this trip! Everything went perfectly and was as described in the description. Thulani was our host. We met at The Strangers Club (which is a pretty cool place), had a coffee and got to know each other. We went to St James Beach and took photos with the houses and walked a bit. We then went to an area before Kalk's Bay to see some shops which were interesting and independent so you could find unique things. We then went to Kalk's Bay where we saw the seals and enjoyed fish and chips that Thulani organized. Next, we went to Boulders Beach where we saw the penguins. We walked down the another area where we could see more along the way. We then did the Cape Point Reserve where we climbed up the lighthouse (there is a funicular if you are not fit), then went down to the Cape of Good Hope where we could take photos with the legendary sign as well as admire the surroundings. There is a system in place for the photos so don't worry about that! We then went to Chapmans Peak to have sandwiches that Thulani arranged from The Strangers Club (which were awesome) and try some beers. We then drove to a spot to watch the sunset which was amazing. Thulani made gin and tonics for us (including slicing oranges and serving them in a glass, not plastic). We were dropped off at our residences. Everyone on the trip was friendly and we got to know each other. We were exchanging information and helped each other take photos. Thulani also provided a lot of local insights into things and pointed out different points along the way. I was impressed with everything and it is clear a good amount of planning is done. I hope they expand to other events because they would do an amazing job.

We have done a peninsular day trip with friends, guided by Tulani. This was a very fulfilling day, we have made lots of stops where we had time to explore, tried local cuisine and viewed some breathtaking scenery. Tulani is really knowledgeable, friendly and client orientated. The tour focuses on local experiences and where possible local producers and products. An 11/10 if you wish to see the Bay Area, penguins, Cape of Good Hope and other locations, very well constructed itinerary with delicious food and drinks.

The tour was really amazing! It was a great opportunity to get a good impression of the cape region as we were trying to figure out which places would be worth another trip for a longer stay. The trip was planned well, we got to see so many different places and at the same time it didn’t feel like we were just rushing through them at all. Our host Yanga was really nice, we felt very welcome and enjoyed the stories he told throughout the day. The day all in all was just awesome!

Our day was amazing and the host Thulani was fantastic. Very informative and he instilled a calmness to the group even though we had a schedule to follow. Thulani even went above and beyond to make sure that the different groups would make their dinner reservations on Boxing day I might add.

To visit the some of the hidden and open treasures in Cape Town was a delight. It felt great that once you were on this tour the entrance fees were covered. Furthermore, Thulani had prepared cold beverages for the ride to keep is hydrated and in a great mood with good road trip music.

The ride ended with a gin tasting, prepared by our host at Chapmans Peak before sundown.

This is a must for first time-arrivals at Cape Town!

Kind regards,
Niklas and Anna-Maria
