          Authentic Indian Food in Cyprus
The choice of food was amazing. They serve truly Indian dishes rather than Pakistan or Bangladeshi dishes. The waiter is very helpful in recommending food I like. Their mango lassi was amazing. I also had the onion Bhaji for the first time and I fell in love with it. My friend had the seafood special which was so good we went back a second time just for it.

          Great day
This was well worth it apart from feeling sick from the winding roads on a long stretch. However, the monasteries are fantastic if you like things like that. I was a tad disappointed to find out that most of them have been rebuilt, so there is very little history in the actual stones, but the history surrounding them is very interesting. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly (but stern if you did something you are not supposed to, like taking pictures where not allowed). And the driver or the coach was really friendly as well. Really good tour overall, but READ THE EXTRA INFORMATION! 1. If you have motion sickness, DON'T GO. There is an hour section around winding and hair pin mountain roads and despite taking anti sickness tablets, I felt awful by the time we got from one of the destinations to the other. Thankfully, that is the only long section of winding road. The others were bearable. 2. Don't wear short shorts or skirts. Shorts or skirts need to fall to the middle of your knee at least. And if wearing sleeveless or spaghetti strap top, make sure you have a wrap or something as you won't be let into the monasteries, which is pretty much the point of this trip.

Pretty much a glorified bus, go to these places but have to pay to get in them. Cheaper to hire a car for the day and visit the places especially if there is more than one of you going

This is an okay trip. Commentary is excellent and informative. We didn’t find the stops very interesting really. Go to Archeological sites in Paphos instead.

          Historical trip Paphos Cyprus
Booked a trip to visit some sites in Paphos. The guide Sofia was excellent, very knowledgeable and helpful. George was the coach driver. Visit to one of the oldest potteries, 5 domed church with amazing frescos, all explained by Sofia. Then a visit to another Sofia's house where we tasted homemade bread, halloumi made on site. Salad and amazing coffee. The trip ended with own time in old Paphos. A great trip.

          Interesting day trip
The price of the trip was good The bus was on time - full coach of people, over 1 hrs to collect everyone up and down. The guide was very professional /I observed the guide can be very abrupt with answers. Not enough time in Nicosia 2 1/2 hrs. I expected more time to spend there. She was very one sided about the history and made us afraid to cross the Turks side. She said that you MUST be on time if not the coach would leave us. Most people came back at the coach very early.

          Historic religious sites and sweets!
Places visited were excellent. Especially the monastery. Guide gave detailed explanations at the church and monastery which greatly helped to understand the religious significance. Would highly recommend this tour. Journey times are short which leaves more time for visits.

Excellent day out in the Troodos Mountains
My wife and I, both of us in our mid-sixties, booked this trip through our Mercury Holiday’s rep at our hotel for a cost of €24 each, which we thought was amazing value for this all day tour. We had already been on another day tour run by this company, so we knew that we were going to have a fabulous day out. The coach duly arrived, and we were really happy that Sofia, our guide from the previous trip, was today’s guide also, as she is pleasant, informative and so good at her job. The day was equally as good as our previous trip taking in beautiful monasteries and villages throughout Troodos. Lunch was optional and cost €15 each for quite a fair amount of buffet style food, so worth the money. Again, as before, we had an awesome day out and would thoroughly recommend this trip.

Fantastic trip, at a great price, with a lovely, informative guide
My wife and I, both of us in our mid-sixties, booked this trip through our Mercury Holiday’s rep at our hotel for a cost of €26 each, which we thought was amazing value for this all day tour. The coach arrive shortly after the pick-up time we were told, which wasn’t a problem as the weather was fine. The coach was clean and comfortable, and we were soon on our way to Kourion, which was our first port of call. Sofia, our tour guide, was excellent throughout the day giving us an endless stream of information both on and off the coach. We spent a fair amount of time at Kourion, and Sofia made it interesting with her dialogue on what we were viewing. We got some wonderful photos of the ruins and the amphitheatre. Then it was on to Kolossi Castle, where we decided not to go in, but instead had a coffee and cake at the small café beside the castle for a very reasonable price. After the castle we made our way to Limassol where we all broke off on our own to explore the city. My wife and I had a lovely walk around the city, and lunch in a great little eatery called Petros, which we can highly recommend. After lunch we took a stroll alongside the harbour until it was time to get on the coach again. Finally, before returning to Paphos, we stopped off at Aphrodite’s Rock, which broke the journey back up nicely. All in all it was a really great day out for a fantastic price, and we would both thoroughly recommend this trip.

          Good day out
The scenery is breath taking . The monasteries are beautiful and interesting. Our guide have good information with as gentle humour and was tactful in the way she told us about the British involvement in Cyprus.

I was really looking forward to this trip however it did not meet my expectations.

It is an incredibly long day and considering how much time you actually spend at each place was really disappointing. The coach picked tourists up from paphos all the way to Limassol. The problem with this is that we got picked up at 8:55am and the time we finished picking people up was 10:30am. And then you got to return back aswell. Very tiring.

I believe it would be much better to create two separate tours one for people staying in paphos and another from Limassol. It was really frustrating as i thought by 10:30/11am we would be at our first check point.

After the coach picked everyone up we got taken to a coffee shop to have a little break. They have a little table with someone pouring orange juice and making bland coffee, we thought this was free and would be included in the trip. It is NOT. 3 euros for orange juice. Bring your own drinks.

We spent 2 hours in famagusta to get some food and visit the mosque. After that we then went and visited Varosha. This was the most disappointing part.. we got 20 minutes to look around there.

Most shops and restaurants were closed in famagusta so the 2 hours felt pointless and we would have rather had the time to explore Varosha more and see the history.

Considering the main reason most people go on this trip and there main selling point is Varosha. The fact we only got 20 minutes was very disappointing. We got taken to the hotel part and we felt very rushed just a quick walk up and down.

They allow tourists to visit Varosha now, we saw so many people walking around looking and exploring and even cycling on bicycles. We felt it is probably worth while saving your money on this trip and doing it on your own.

Our tour guide was great, incredibly informative and also a refugee herself from Varosha. We learnt alot.

It was informative and historical however I would not recommend if your main reason for doing it is to visit Varosha. I also worked out that within our 10 hour day there was only a total of 3 hours for visiting sights and looking around. So 7 hours of sitting on a coach.

I have to say that the strangest part about the trip was when we saw the St Nicolas Church...It has been converted into a mosque now. The architecture is very similar to Cathedrale de Notre Dame in Rouen, France (gothic). It's really strange when you go inside as now you only have carpets like in any mosque, none of the original church things are there anymore. I don't want to start preaching what's right and what's not but in general the feeling is weird.

The tour around Salamis Amphitheater and the ruins felt pretty good, the weather was perfect and our tour guide patiently answered everyone's questions.

The security was very tight around the ghost town, but our driver took us around the place. Really sad to see the state of the houses now.

Overall, a very insightful day but very long, as expected. We packed in a lot of things in one day and the deal is very good for the price. Hopefully there is a peaceful solution to all the situations soon. I know it's hard as a visitor to judge but what you'll see in this tour will make you think how hard it might have been for the locals.

        Thanks for the wonderful trip.

First off, the tour guide Vasos/Vasili was one of the least knowledgeable and rudest people I have ever met. He seems to have gathered his knowledge from road signs and sights on our drive such pointing out Paphos airport 4km away and Limassol football stadium. We were told off and several guests were told to be silent from approx 10 minutes into the journey. I felt like we were treated as naughty school children, being shot nasty glances! Due to this, the tour has gone from 5* to 4*. Other than this, I enjoyed the tour. The bus was comfortable, we spent 12 hours on the trip so this was important. St Barnabus monastery and Salamis were interesting to walk around and pretty viewing, good for photos! Famagusta itself, we were left to fend for ourselves for just under 1.5 hours and walk around - outside of the bus with no microphone, the guide was difficult to hear, only pointed out shops selling cigarettes, and clearly his lack of passion was pointless listening to anyway - the views are nice from the stairs above the sea gate, and the mosque in the centre of the city was picturesque. The ghost town was interesting, how it remains empty almost 50 years after the initial invasion and how it is in a state of disrepair, weird that a hotel has been built right next door to the ruins though! Overall, not bad for €37.

This was an amazing day, pick up was on time outside a hotel of our choice as we were in an apartment where the driver the guide were very welcoming, the bus did have air con, clean and tidy .
We then head out with a quick pass through Paphos and Limassol where the guide explained the history of Greek Cyprus and a Stop for coffee half way. At the border we passed through passport control quickly and off into Turkish Cyprus where the guide gave loads of information on the conflict, stopped at a monastery and then onto the ruins of salamis which were interesting to see (also more drinks available ) . Then onto famagusta for lunch and a look around the walled city (about 35 degrees in June, July and august ) the final stop at the abandoned side of the city which was devastating for many reasons . The size of the town that has been abandoned , the buildings standing eerily quiet and a look back to 1974 where time has stood still . The guide talked us through it all
This was 12 hours long , the heat was about 35 degrees BUT it’s a fantastic opportunity

This is a very long day but it is well worth the trip. It is about 12 hours from pick up to drop off but the tour is very well organised and has coffee and comfort breaks at sensible times. The tour takes in many contrasting sights, such as the amazing Salamis amphitheatre and gymnasium, the St Barnabas monastery completely stripped of everything of value and Famagusta is most certainly a city of two halves. Our guide was very informative and you certainly felt emotion for the people who were displaced. The guided visit to Famagusta's Maras region gives you a small insight into the impact that the separation of Cyprus had on its people. This is a well organised tour.

Vamos our guide was excellent and very informative and interesting especially when I asked the questions about Famagusta, it was so sad to see the empty town. Absolutely fantastic day, albeit a very long one - but so worth it!
Mr Vasos was an amazing guide, and we learned so much about the history from the very distant and not so distant past of Famagusta. Mr Adamos took great care of us, and on what ended up a lengthened journey, due to some passengers going missing for some time, he drove with great care.
Would highly recommend this tour - worth every single cent/penny/lira. 👌

This was a trip that has been put off for many years but it was absolutely worth waiting for.

Although a long day, timings were great with sufficient time to view all the sites that we visited. The guide was extremely informative and brought a good deal of local knowledge and passion to the day.

The visit to the ghost city of Famagusta was extremely thought provoking and certainly makes you reflect. It brought to life the tension that still exists on the island and the sad consequences of the war in 1974. This was certainly the most memorable aspect of the tour and worth going just for this.

The trip was very interesting. Our tour guide, Vasos, was friendly, helpful and gave us a comprehensive overview of Cyprus agriculture, history and specifics of the sites we visited. The timings of the visit were very good, although it would have been nice to have had another half an hour in Famagusta walled city. Seeing the Ghost town was a moving and memorable experience.

Our driver Christos was also very pleasant and drove the 400km safely and smoothly. The bus was very clean, but unfortunately very cramped so a bit uncomfortable on this long day trip.

Overall the trip was very good value for money and we would recommend it.

It is a really interesting day trip from Paphos and it's totally worth it. All places visited are interesting on their own. As an advise I would recommend giving more free time in the Walled city as the one we were having was really not enough for a proper meal and a walk around the city center.
