About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- alexbR2863IC0 contributionsThink twice before go hereJust be careful of this place. Completely different from what looks like in photos. More stones than sands and be careful about the owner. Very rude and aggressive. He just want your money in exchange of poor service.Written 8 August 2023
- Colleen C0 contributionsA little too crampedThe sandy beach is nice and clean. But to access it you need to go through a parking lot which is not free. There are better beaches with free parkingWritten 18 September 2021
- ReemahD0 contributionsNice but no MaledivesThe beach is ok, but not pristine at all. I think the use of Maldives is misplaced. Highly overcrowded, the sand is not that white and the sea is not that clear blue at all. 10 euro for a sunbed per person. It would be wise to get the Maldives out of their marketing.Written 9 August 2021
- Daniela D0 contributionsBest beach in SalentoThis beach is just beautiful! Although it was in the milddle of july it didn't feel as crowded as other beaches we went to. The water is clear and beautiful and the sand nice and white.Written 10 September 2019
- Bugatti770 contributionsRac. 2019.Very. Very good place. Beach & sea- water fantastic. Free beach, but If you like you can rent deck-chairs,too. Very hot but fortunately windy, as well. Maxbugatti.Written 22 July 2019
- exiledblue0 contributionsNot so free beachThe signs proclaim 'Free beach for all' in reality there is space but its generally behind 2 or 3 rows of beds to pay for. The sea however is spectacular in irs colour and you can go out almiat 50m and still touch.Written 27 June 2019
- coconutugly0 contributionsNo words needed. It’s a perfect lonnnnnng beachThe beach goes on for miles. Sheer perfection. Loads of Lidos with well behaved people. Although busy it’s orderly. Clean sand, crystal clear waters. Amazing day on a perfect beachWritten 25 June 2019
- Hannah T0 contributionsClearest SeaI think people misunderstand the reason for the title "Maldives of Italy". This isn't to do with the beach, but the clarity of the sea water. And for that reason, it is true. The sea is so clear, blue, warm and very shallow. You can walk out far and feel nothing under your feet but soft sand. Its to die for! The beach itself is relatively narrow but there was plenty of space when we visited in mid September. If you are planning to spend the day, either fork out for sunbeds/umbrella on the beach or bring your own umbrella, as the sun in southern Italy is HOT! Highly recommendWritten 5 October 2018
- Rick D0 contributionsDisappointmentWe went from lecce to this beach because all over the internet was saying it's like the maledives... If it's really like that I don't want to go to the maledives anymore... This beach is nothing special, yes the water is clear but that's the only nice thing there. The beach is disgusting, a shame that Italy doesn't clean it proper(place more trashcan's) and that people throw trash everywhere like this. But so different from the northern Europe where streets, beaches and nature are totally clean.. Beside the garbage it's just a boring sand beach with too many sellers(how do those guys live and why are they so forcing to sell... If I want to buy a fking watch I go to a proper store I stead of buying a fake plastic watch. Maybe Italy should pay them to just clean the beaches and streets in Italy.) Don't go here, go to Leuca or any other beach.. This is nothing special!Written 1 October 2018
- Sohail B0 contributionsNice beach for out-of-season.This place is great outside the season, as then around September it is more quiet. People know this is the most nicest beach in the region, because it have an stretch of white sand and really blue sea. The beach bars are trendy but packed, and along the same coast you can find less packed places for as good value such as stunning rock formations with good beach bars and good entrance towards the waster. Overall, at 23 September 18 this was an good expierence; tip: check the windspeed as it affects your travels!Written 30 September 2018
- lulugirl9790 contributionsAmazing water ..crystal clear and so invitingI was stunned by how gorgeous this part of Puglia was. Although the seaside towns are quite concrete jungles hand a bit ugly, the beaches and the sea are just divine. I went in shoulder season so it was all manageable and not too crowded.Would not recommend going after 15 July till end August..it’s crazy full, then.Written 20 August 2018
- 921Maya0 contributionsBig disappointment! We were expecting at least some similarity with Maldives - we were wrong! The beach was dirty - I don’t understand how it got a blue flag. The sand is dark and water deep. It was not busy when we arrived because there was a storm earlier. Nobody from the group wanted to stay so we left.Written 16 August 2018
- Lucifero830 contributionsNot in AugustTo avoid in August, too crowded and small beaches, amazing sea but the stay is a nightmare due to the enormous amount of people already there at 8am. Better July or SeptemberWritten 13 August 2018
- ChiSbagliaPaga0 contributionsMare ok il resto chaosSuper full beach, not even possible to rent an expensive umbrella (all reserved). Beach overcrowded but definetly not “white beach”. Make sure you have your own umbrella. Parking per day 4euros so it is ok but we did bit stay more then an hour. Booking you umbrella the day before might help. Seen, check. Never againWritten 13 August 2018
- Mathias T0 contributionsThe Worst experience in PugliaThe name “Le Maldive del Salento” gives completely wrong over expectations of this beach establishment. It literally has nothing to do with Maldive. - 35 Euro for cramped in sun beds in the first row having hundreds of people walking in front of you every minute... - An uncomfortable gravel beach, you need to walk through 5-10 meters in the water before feeling any sand... - Messy and unorganized café-restaurant - Bored, Unfriendly and even Rude staff, including the manager who was called in for answering a simple question. - to round everything off even having to pay 20 cent for cleaning your feet, that I have never seen on a beach of any class in Salento. This by far is the worst experience we have ever had in Puglia. A Complete rip off. My recommendation is to stop 100 meter from Maldive del Salento at Le Cinque Vele resort instead for a great experience.Written 11 August 2018

Personale molto gentile.
