The largest airport in the state of Pennsylvania and in the Delaware Valley, Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is located about seven miles southwest of downtown Philadelphia. In 2014, Philadelphia International Airport handled 30.7 million passengers. The airport has seven terminals and four runways. In total, about 15 airlines operate flights between PHL and 130 destinations. These include 38 international destinations in North America, the Caribbean, Central America, Europe and the Middle East. Regional public transportation options at PHL include the SEPTA Airport Line metro, which connects the airport with downtown Philadelphia, as well as several SEPTA bus routes.
