Serving the capital city of China's Yunnan Province, Kunming Changshui International Airport (KMG) is located 15 miles northeast of Kumming's city center. It handled 32.2 million travelers in 2014, making it the seventh busiest airport in China. The airport serves as a hub for China Eastern Airlines, Kunming Airlines, Lucky Air, Sichuan Airlines and Ruili Airlines. In total, about 35 carriers operate at the airport, flying non-stop between KMG and destinations across China, as well as points elsewhere in Asia, the Middle East and Europe. Kunming Changshui International Airport has two runways and one commercial passenger terminal with 66 gates.
