The large majority of our flights to and from Grenada were absolutely fine, no problems and I was as impressed with Virgin Atlantic as I usually am. The problem parts occurred because our flights, to and from Grenada, go via St Lucia. Because of the way the stop is handled this adds 2 hours to the flights each way resulting...

This was our honeymoon and first holiday in 20yrs without children so we went all out. Booked bellagio hotel suite (which was fantastic). Also went for upper class on flight out. Checked into the virgin lounge at Gatwick and had breakfast. This was a fantastic place to be before our flight. Very modern, staff were attentive and food/drink good and...

This was our second upper class VA flight - not disappointed! As our ticket was discounted (flight booked thru' Sandals) we were not entitled to chauffeur car (what a pity), but the holiday started at check-in which was swift, queueless and pleasant. It then gets better with entry to the VA Clubroom - it is the best lounge we have...

This was my first time flying Upper Class on the newly refurbished (ex Air Berlin) Airbus and it was pretty good. As always with Virgin, the lounge was excellent (significantly better than BA) and a nice start to the journey. The new seats were OK (similar to the ones on the 747 and other Airbus options) but I was a...

After looking forward to flying Virgin Atlantic for month, we were sorely disappointed in our recent flight from London to Atlanta. We were assigned to an Airbus 340-600, one of the oldest planes in the fleet. It is apparent that Virgin Atlantic has no interest in updating these planes while waiting for new ones to arrive. My seat did not...

Flight was delayed for 4 1/2 hours. Because of bad weather. Staff in Manchester Airport not very helpful, in fact I don’t think they knew what they were doing. Once we were on our way the journey was good. Nice cabin crew. Carla one of cabin crew was exceptional with us. Food that was offered was really nice. Totally different...

Comfortable seats with plenty leg room. Cabin service was good - polite and courteous staff. Meals included lunch and afternoon tea with a wide range of drinks on offer, all of which were good. I had the chicken curry which was flavoursome. The only real criticism was the inflight entertainment - the choice of films on offer was poor. This...

So many airlines are cutting right back - reduced meals, peremptory service, pay for drinks - in order to cut corners and costs. It is good to see Virgin competitively priced but with smiling and friendly staff, and good general comfort, food and drink. The entertainment system is better than most too. Take note Delta!
