Airline Summary

TAAG Angola Airlines (DT) is Angola's flag carrier. It is headquartered in the capital city of Luanda and operates from a base at Quatro de Fevereiro Airport (LAD). Founded in 1938 as DTA, or Divisão dos Transportes Aéreos, the airline took its current name in 1973. TAAG Angola Airlines flies to 31 destinations, including 13 airports in Angola and 11 airports elsewhere in Africa. Other destinations include Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. The airline flies and all-Boeing fleet of 14 planes with either two-cabin (Business Class and Economy Class) or three-cabin (First Class, Business Class and Economy Class) configurations.

Both flights, from Johannesburg to Luanda and from Luanda to Sao Paulo had no in-flight entertainment. The aircons on the flight frim Luanda to Sao Paulo were not working. Beverages were not cold. Food was old. It was just an overall bad experience.

NEVER IN YOUR LIFE FLY WITH THIS AIRLINE!! 16 December, flight from Cape Town to Lagos, delayed by 2 hours, then we land in Lagos and the ENTIRE AIRPLANES PASSENGERS LUGGAGE IS ALL NOT ON OUR PLANE because they sent people's luggage of the 14th and 15th on our plane cos those people also when they landed had none of their belongings. NOT 1 single individual from TAAG came to apologise or came to address the crowd of people crying and shouting because all their belongings are gone and nol knows till now where it is or when we'd get it back. Nol knows who to ask or where to ask. When u contact TAAG they shift the blame to the airport and tell u it's a personal issue and u should go complain at the airport. When the TAAG agent said this over the phone I just burst into tears, our entire family is here with nothing, people had connecting flights stranded in the airport with nothing, those people that never got their bags on the 14th and 15th. Their poor belongings were laying on the floor of the airport as people unwrapped bags to see if it was theirs, I won't be surprised if some people's luggage was even stolen because no1 was watching it, it was just standing on the side. I ABSOLUTELY HATE TAAG FOR DOING THIS TO PEOPLE, you guys have no respect for your passengers from your staff to your airline ridiculously disgusting!! People had chronic medication in their bags, and only carrying what they need for the journey in their carry on. People had music instruments and gigs that they were paid for to perform at and now this airline has single handedly placed those guys into a MOUNTAIN OF DEBT!!! TAAG YOU HAD ALL THE KNOWLEDGE FROM WHEN WE LEFT CAPE TOWN THAT THIS WOULD HAPPEN and that is what is the most disappointing.

Horrible Exp TAAG

The day before, they changed the layover to 12 hours without notifying us. They told us we would get accommodation, but they made us wait at the airport until 12:30 a.m. and dropped us off at the accommodation at 1 a.m. The hotel was never booked. We got in our rooms at 2:30 am. They told us to be ready at 5 am the same day. They only got to the hotel at 7 am. This was the worst experience ever! I canceled my flight back with them, and I paid twice the price, but anything not to exp this again.

TAAG Angola Airlines: Disorganized, Unreliable, and Unresponsive

My experience with TAAG Angola Airlines has been nothing short of a nightmare. Not only did they lose my luggage, but their subsequent handling of the situation has been appalling and deeply frustrating. The trouble started when TAAG failed to notify me that they had stopped operating flights between Luanda and Madrid, even though I had a booked ticket. This left me scrambling to book a new flight through Lisbon at my own expense just to continue my journey. To make matters worse, my luggage was lost due to this disruption, and the airline has shown no sense of urgency or accountability in resolving the issue. I flew at the end of July, and it has now been six months without any resolution. Instead, after weeks of silence, I was sent a generic apology email blaming "currency devaluation" for their inability to offer monetary compensation. They proposed a travel voucher worth $396 instead completely ignoring the fact that the value of my lost belongings far exceeds this amount and that I no longer feel safe or confident flying with their airline. This lack of accountability is unacceptable, especially since many of the items in my luggage belonged to other people, and I am now left to compensate them out of my own pocket. I made it clear that I am willing to accept the amount offered, but only in monetary form. Despite this, TAAG has continued to ignore my claim and failed to uphold their responsibility. They eventually sent me a claim form which I submitted two months ago and have followed up twice to check the progress of my refund, yet I have received no response or compensation. TAAG Angola Airlines has demonstrated an utter lack of professionalism, communication, and care for their customers. Their inability to resolve complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner, coupled with their disregard for passenger trust, makes it clear that they are not a reliable airline. I would strongly advise against flying with TAAG Angola Airlines. If they lose your luggage or disrupt your plans, do not expect them to take responsibility or provide a meaningful resolution. This airline does not value its passengers or honor its commitments. PLEASE do not make the same mistake I did, you deserve better

To fellow Nigerians in the continent of africa and worldwide, avoid this Angolan airline they are completely useless, poor services, racist, poor hospitality, air hostess are terrible, nothing good to write home about them. If you which to enjoy your flight, avoid them completely. Zero rate. 😡😡
