I have just had the most horrific experience through your airline. Flight QR909 from Sydney to Doha. Not only the airplane was so filthy and all toilets in the economy class so smelly and not clean. What a disgrace from a supposed to be a good airline. The air stewards were not helpful at all- just to mention that I had asked for tomato juice, and she never gave it to me. Plus, that I had paid for WiFi service and there was no WiFi for the entire 15 hours of the trip. I asked the steward, and she said she would get back to me, which of course she never did. It was a terrible and long flight, equivalent standard of Ryanair. The only plus was the somehow good quality of food. Very disappointed and will never travel with this airline again. I am so glad this flight is over now. It is so below the standards we have paid and definitely an overestimated airline.

Horrible experience with Qatar at Johannesburg, South Africa Airport

I was excited to try Qatar for the first time, as I had heard good things, however, we had a terrible experience with Qatar at Johannesburg Airport South Africa. Booking reference O4BQTT. We purchased two tickets from South Africa to Cambodia through the Qatar official website. Our plan was to attend friends' wedding in Cambodia. We had our passports and Cambodia Visa in all in order. When we arrived at check-in, we were told that we would not be allowed to board the plane. Shocked, we ask "why is that"? The staff said that we required a Visa for a connecting flight from Ho Chi Minh city to Sihanoukville and we would not be allowed to board. Horrified, we tried to get more information from the staff, but the lady was incredibly rude and dismissive to us, providing no further information. The person we dealt with was Sunny Masilo, Customer Service Agent. Her service was appalling and she was very rude to us. Nowhere on Qatar website did it mention that we needed a Visa or Transfer Visa for our connecting flight. We booked everything on the official Qatar website. In a panic, we called customer support. The person on the phone struggled with English. We were told we cannot cancel just one ticket or part of the journey, but had to cancel all tickets and the entire journey then rebook. This cost us a small fortune of over R12,000 cancellation fee. We then had to book new flights that were DOUBLE the price, costing us another small fortune. Overall this was the worst airline experience my partner and myself have ever experienced. It has costs us over R40,000 ($2000, which is a huge amount of money for us) and has left us feeling awful. We are tempted to take legal action against the treatment we received and the money we have lost. I have since lodge a complaint with Qatar, but they have not replied and it has been over 5 business days. Due to the terrible customer service, rude and dismissive staff, and complete lack of information (that we needed a visa for our connecting flight) we will never use Qatar again and will advise everyone we meet to avoid them.

Good for the money.

Flew Manchester to Sri Lanka and return via Doha, for a holiday, really like Qatar Airways, easy check in, very well-organised boarding by seat area number so nice and easy, friendly attentive cabin crew, very reasonable seat comfort and legroom, only downside was lack of non-spicy food options on meals coming home, all options were curry or chilli, the cabin crew did try to find non-spicy meal for my wife but ended up just eating starter and desert with bread, and no in seat charging points on flight from Colombo to Doha, had to change at Doha doth ways, very easy to transfer and airport clean and well-organised. Overall very good for the money paid and would certainly use again.

Booking Errors and Poor Customer Service

I recently experienced significant booking issues with Qatar Airways while attempting to book a flight from Bangkok to Toulouse (France) for travel dates from 10th April 2025 to 19th April 2025. Despite multiple attempts across several devices (computers, browsers, and mobile application), I continually faced technical errors preventing completion. Additionally, the customer support I received was notably unprofessional, quoting higher fares than advertised online and abruptly ending a 27-minute call without finalizing my booking or following up. Based on this experience, caution is advised when dealing with Qatar Airways. I urge Qatar Airways to address and resolve this issue promptly.

Excellent Everything!

The customer service from start to finish on TWO long flights with them was incredible; Their professionalism, kindness, and good meals were only complemented by their attentive service on the first 13 hour flight, and then the 16 hour return flight. Nice to know there's still excellent customer service.
