I don’t want to give even one star. All I can say is if you’re thinking of booking - don’t. Check in was an absolute shambles with people being herded like cattle both outside and inside the terminal. Just the worst terminal experience followed by a terrible flight experience. After having been served breakfast which was just edible, we had to wait 4.5 hours for another drink. Nothing was offered during this time even though it is known that you must keep hydrated on a flight. When we were served it was by extremely rude flight attendants who rolled their eyes at the slightest request such as asking what a meal consisted of. One flight attendant serving drinks rudely just said ‘cup’ and motioned for the cup which was on my tray. No please or thank you from anyone. Totally miserable and disrespectful staff. Needed to say I will never be using this airline again. It was truly awful.

Terrible experience for me, my wife and our 3 kids. For the first time in my 41yo life, I have been refused boarding a flight. They requested us a return ticket from our Dubai destination but it had to be from Kenya Airways absoluetly.....What?!?! We have tried our best to find a solution with them but I couldn't believe that they closed the counter on us and left us by our own at the airport. Had to book another last minute flight for all the family with a decent compagny.

I can safely say this was truly the worst flying experience I have ever had and I am well travelled. The chaos started at Nairobi Jomo International Airport, Checking was absolutely appalling with no assistance no care ridiculously long queues and unhelpful staff. When we finally made it through with enough time to make the plane, the plane was unsurprisingly delayed further while waiting for the remaining guest to check in. Cabin crew on board were the most surly, grumpy and unhelpful collection of individuals I have ever met. This was such a shame as it truly wasn’t a reflection on the amazing people we had met while being on holiday in Kenya. As the national flag carrier Kenya airways should be appalled of the example their setting of their country which is truly so much better than was displayed by their staff. Our stewardess Kemunto was basically rude to us the whole flight. No welcome, no please, no thank you and lots eye rolling when asked for anything. I would like to say she stood out due to her poor customer service but she was simply a good example of all the Kenya Airways staff we encountered. Terrible experience, horrible flight, rude and disrespectful staff. This was truly an awful experience. Kenya Airways you should be very ashamed.

Be aware Kenya Airlines may be of substance and use for the continent of Africa for shorter flights but their service from U.S. there and back is EXTREMELY LACKING. It was our first time flying them as we are regular long haul fliers. 1. There is no wifi 2. The entertainment unit MIGHT work for your seat 3. The food was more miss than hit 4. Staff extremely nice but also extremely forgetful 5. Don't expect a full cabinet of beverage options 6. Those blankets are thinner than t-shirt material 7. They will delay your flight with no explanation and then claim to have your hotel accommodations ready at the counter only to not have them ready 8. The "shuttle" does not account for travelers with luggage and will squish as many people on it as possible and take you to hotels 30-40 minutes away from the airport (in Nairobi specifically) 9. They don't communicate with each other even within the same airport. Processes are not consistent and staff will argue with you even with proof from the airline itself. 10. When delayed your seating accommodations that were paid for will not be the same unless you spend 30-45 minutes proving you paid for the seat you weren't given back due to their delay are rearrangement of the flight. 11. THEY NEVER LEAVE ON TIME 12. Their app is slow and unreliable and does not capture all passengers under the reservation number. I do not recommended flying this airline to the amazing continent of Africa. Take Qatar or some other that values the customer's experience and time.

Took the direct flight from JFK to NBO and then from NBO to JFK. Had no issues or delays. Was it the most luxurious flight, no. But it did the job! The food was good and they had about 3 different meal services each flight. All of the flight attendants were very kind and attentive. The entertainment was very basic but it was the quickest and easiest way to get to NBO. I would definitely recommend it. We were nervous at first because of the varied reviews, but there is nothing to worry about! We also booked through Delta since it is a part of their partner airways.
